Dive into the mystical practices of yoga, breath and sacred sound during this transformative chakra activation to awaken and harmonise the energy of the seven chakra - energy centres. Tap into your body’s chakra wisdom to support your conscious, embodied awakening as you move move from the grounding embodiment of root chakra activation towards more subtle meditative practices of the higher chakras.

Working with the 7 chakras
Opening to the wisdom of the chakras is a way of truly listening to your body and honouring your body’s wisdom. Each of the chakras is related to a specific part of your body, representing unique energetic qualities. Chakra Activation invites us to access our body’s emotional intelligence since chakras are energy centres and e-motion is energy in motion. If we are disconnected from parts of our bodies we suppress and block the energetic and emotional intelligence of the related chakras. Working with the chakra’s helps you to get your energy flowing, dissolving the numbness of disconnection and allowing you to feel more fully… to live and to love more fully.

The journey
During the Chakra Activation we move through the chakras one at a time, tapping into their unique wisdom. Each chakra is activated through a combination of specific asanas, movements, breathwork, mudras and mantras. We start at the base, connecting to our roots through a grounding embodied practice, gradually inviting more fluid, intuitive movement to awaken the creative energy of the second chakra. We then move that Shakti energy into the solar plexus to kindle our inner fire, organically flowing into a heart opening moving meditation to (re)awaken our divine love and universal compassion. Through the power of sound and mantra we will journey into the higher chakras, helping us to express ourselves authentically and connect us with all of life and infinite space. We close the chakra journey by moving into the vibrant stillness of a guided meditation that draws our awareness into the light of universal consciousness.

What to expect
All levels of students are welcome. While this is a physical embodied journey, we are not focused on attaining difficult Yoga poses but rather on using the poses and flows to activate and embody the subtle energy and wisdom of the Chakra system.

Simons teachings are transformative and unconventional. A “yoga for our time” that bings together classical yoga with fluid and juicy practices developed during his extensive dance career and studies with international pioneers of the global Flow culture. Expect an explorative journey that fuses traditional asana with gentle somatic movement, dynamic breathwork and vocal release. As always, Simon will support your journey with a beautiful selection of spiritual music, soulful rhythms and healing sounds. He will play the Indian harmonium and other sacred instruments and invite students to explore the use of voice. Guided visualisations will help awaken an embodied connection to the chakras, engaging body, mind and all your senses to deepen your experience.
