As we all know, it’s important to communicate our needs and desires when it comes to (sexual) intimacy. However, when it really comes to it, it can be terrifying to actually do so. So, Let’s talk how to talk during intimate moments!
With this workshop, we hope to create a space to practice feeling into what you need, think actively about what feels good, and say everything out loud at least once - essentially, to create a laboratory in which you have the opportunity to figure out how to say what you need, and what works/doesn’t for you to feel safe.
We are carson and Ella. In our workshops, we dive deep into the nuances of consent through social relationships and create space for self exploration, providing embodied experiences to imagine new ways of relating.
carson (they/them, Amsterdam based):
carson is dedicated to making space to question our systems and trying to build resilience, community care and solidarity into the every day. Growing up in a polyamorous family and eagerly devouring all the critical theory they can get their hands on, their focus is in the unification of the political and the personal work, recognizing one cannot exist without the other. As the old slogan goes, the personal is indeed political - but the political is personal too!
Ella (they/them, Berlin based):
Ella is a bubbly and radically kind intimacy activist. They have fine tuned their ability to create safety and space in their workshops so that the societal armor can be left at the door. They love to play with words and are able to convey complex theory in simple, easy to grasp language. Their humor allows for playful engagement with heavy topics while always holding space for the depth of emotions.
We recommend you eat a nice meal before coming! We will have many breaks throughout the day :)
