Join us on August 31st on our FIRST edition of our Ecstatic Dance Festival at Oase!!!!
We’ll have a whole day of hanging out, dancing, enjoying, connecting (by disconnecting from our smartphones) and by being present in the now, right here in the beautiful concrete jungle called Rotterdam. Everything is so fast paced and it's now so challenging to slow down and we would love to help you out with that. We invite you to dip your toes in the Oase Rotterdam x Bezweefd Ecstatic Dance Festival.
This will be the place for conscious connecting where you can be and express your authentic self. We want to offer you a whole day of activities and possibilities where you can enjoy workshops, hang out, learn, get to know yourself more, connect with each other and of course dance!✨

GOOD TO KNOW
You can bring your own water-bottle and a snacks (for during the beaks in-between the workshops) if you want, that's more than welcome! During this day you don't have to be part of every workshop that we are providing (even if you did bought a ticket for it). It is also possible to hang out and chill outside at the terrace of Oase Rotterdam (with an amazing view of the docks of Rotterdam).
YOGA BY FELIX
With this yoga session will be able to ground ourselves, open up our body and energy channels through exploration of asana’s in a flow and yin practice. So we will work with the poses, the movements, the breath and the stillness in between. After the savasana you will feel deeper connected to yourself, to your body and you’ll feel ready to further explore yourself and the connection with others in the dance!
DANCING INTO CONNECTION WORKSHOP (2,5 hours)
It is challenging sometimes to go through an ecstatic dance. So much emotions, different styles and ways of expressing yourself, in dance, in sounds, getting lost in thoughts and sometimes it’s very challenging how to dance and connect with yourself and with others in the dance-journey.
Sjeela, an experienced Odessa-based ecstatic dancer, with years of experience in ecstatic dance (& more), will explain, guide, and go in depth with you about these subjects and more during this 2,5 hour workshop. Not a bad idea to bring your own journal to write some stuff down. ;)
Are you ready to explore the deeper realms within yourself? To dance and express in movement in relation to others, while at the same time being grounded within yourself? Then give yourself this opportunity and join us with this Deepening Your Ecstatic Dance workshop by Sjeela! We will also join this workshop and are also very interested in developing ourselves in dance!
WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE? ✨
Ecstatic dance is a free-form dance and can also be seen as a more active way of meditation. You can surrender to the music in a sacred and safe “container”.
The ecstatic dance is set up in an environment where you can simply be yourself and experience joy through connection (with self and others), dance, and music. It’s about letting go, moving energy, and having fun, resulting in an ECSTATIC feeling without using any drugs and alcohol! A place where you can connect by disconnecting with your phone (finally).
An ecstatic dance can be very powerful and special, if you have never tried it before, we invite you to try it out and we will make you feel warm and safe during the whole evening.
