Sweat Lodge Retreat 2023

Dear Friends,

Are you also ready to let go of old ballast, take off the masks of the everyday and connect with the earth and nature? To feel your body again, consciously, and to be connected to yourself? Then be welcome to participate in the Sweat Lodge Ceremony in a safe setting. An ancient ceremony that brings you back to your origins.

We enter the Sweat lodge, which is seen as the womb of the earth, and emerge from it reborn. Purified on all levels: physical, mental and emotional. The ceremony brings together the elements of earth, air, water and fire. We release the layers of superficiality and ballast by the fire, around the stones and in the steam of the lodge. It is a natural way of ceremony that in our modern world can be compared to the naturalness of the birth of a child. It is an effective process to get to the heart of creation and thus closer to yourself… We are Nature!!!

During this transformation process we are guided by the energy of the (beginning of) Winter, in all its potential. This Period of the year invites us to become still and look deeper within. A time of renewal that connects us to the existence of dreaming. Around the fire we let go, in ceremony we share our intentions and come in connection with the power of the dreaming nature.

Saturday morning the necessary preparations will take place for the sweat lodge ceremony that will start in the afternoon. Think of chopping wood, building the fire altar, the stone ceremony, and igniting the fire together. At the beginning of the evening we come out of the hut to share an evening meal in the form of potluck.
Sunday is integration day on which we open our hearts and perceptions, deepen our relationship with Nature and take time for integration. As a result, the experiences land on fertile soil so that they can be taken back to the reality of everyday life.

This ceremony will be accompanied by fire keepers Baruch Drumming Bear and Maurice under the direction of water pourer Rafael Forest Medicine Dancer.
The language of instruction can be English or Dutch and depends on the needs of the participants.

Compensation: 188,- (including VAT) , including breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Excluding costs for the overnight stay.
If the fee prevents you from participating, please contact the organization.

Staying overnight: After the ceremony you can spend the night in your own tent on the grounds of the Hobbitstee € 12.50 per tent.
In the Inn in a six persons bedroom , a single bed € 30,-.
In the Caravan two person bed € 50,- per night.
In the Tiny House Two person bed € 50,- per night.

Registration:
After registration you will receive an information letter stating what you need to participate. With fewer than 8 participants, the sweat lodge ceremony will not take place this time. If that is the case, you will be notified at least one week in advance.
