A soft return to your body, your breath, and the earth beneath you. Through yin & restorative yoga, conscious breath & soundhealing
Hi all, my name is Carlijn Geluk, the face behind Holimoves, Here’s a bit about me and my personal yoga journey:
My path to yoga and self-discovery hasn’t been straightforward, but every step has shaped how I show up today.
It all began with a Master’s degree in Imagineering back in 2018, where I learned to facilitate processes of transformation by creating space for what naturally wants to emerge. This philosophy led me to yoga—a practice that continues to teach me the power of presence. My approach integrates both yin and yang yoga, enriched by my studies in energy work.
Yin yoga helps us embrace stillness and navigate discomfort, while yang yoga builds resilience and reconnects us with our natural rhythms. Pranayama, or conscious breathing, ties it all together, anchoring us in the present and reminding us of the vastness within.
My approach deepened through personal challenges. Burnout taught me the value of boundaries and authenticity, while my mother's passing continues to show me grief as a doorway to inner light and growth. These experiences brought me to a simpler, slower life—one aligned with nature and the whispers of my heart.
Today, I feel lucky to live in harmony with these values. In the summer, I host yoga classes and events in the Netherlands. The rest of the year, my partner Wout and I retreat to Central Portugal, where we live in tune with the rhythms of nature and occasionally open our doors to host retreats.
I feel grateful to share this journey with Wout, a certified music therapist and pianist. Together, we create immersive experiences that, through our connection, open doors to deeper dimensions. By blending his live, intuitive sound and frequencies with my modalities, we intend to guide others into a space of presence and subtle remembrance.
At the heart of all that I do is the belief that self-realisation unfolds when we create space, when we dare to do less yet with more divine presence. It is in this sacred simplicity that each movement, each moment becomes Holi.
It would be an honor to share a Holi Moment with you. 🤍
