Intuitive Zen-Art Journey with Movements and Live Music in Amsterdam

Join us on Sunday, Nov 19 from 11-13, for a meditative and intuitive Zentangle (Zen-Art) Journey/Ceremony, with guided gentle movements and live music/sound journey to dive in deeper with Musician/DJ Leela. It's at a beautiful & private space of Kokopelli, overlooking the peaceful canal water at the heart of Amsterdam. It's donation-based for everyone.

THE INTENTION:

We believe our intuition and creativity is so natural and powerful to the well-being. Especially when we create with intention and together with nature, and it becomes a beautiful ritual that helps us tap into our wise, inner guidance and allows us to become more intimately present with ourselves and life. This journey can help move through challenging emotions, energies and bring back present moments. It will also help quiet the mind in the busy world we live in, and brings creative insights & new patterns into daily life, that we can not often express through only words.

We wish to co-create a safe, open and connected resting space for healing, emotions, manifestation and call in wishes for the future. The artwork you will create then becomes alive in the form of an altar that serves as a reminder of wishes and insights that were called in while making it happen.

THE PROCESS:

We will start with an opening and a guided meditation combined with gentle movements, and then move to the Zen-Art journey. You will work on a piece of drawing. It will be a (almost) silent process with more expressing through creativity, authenticity, visuals and movements, with little talking. Through the process you will discover that you are having conversations with yourself or just immersing yourself in the process of creation. Every participants journey will be different. We will end with some lay-down sound journey with handpan and other instruments, to dive in deeper, relax and rest in the afterglow of the creation as well as our collective creative power.

WHAT IS ZEN-ART?

Zentangle is a form of meditation through art and drawing. The term Zentangle includes: Zen & Tangle. “Zen” represents a state of mind where any emotion or thought does not bind you. The created patterns are referred to as “tangles” and are mixtures of dots, lines, basic curves and orbs. It's often taking us to a free-flow and deeply relaxing state. It is going to be a special morning of practicing the art of ‘being in the moment’, cherishing what you have and feel, and finding the peace within through intuitive expressions. No art experience required, as everyone is an artist.

WHO ARE WE?

DJ Leela and Artist Leila are a loving team. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity and experience into both their love-life and by offering their services as a team to you.
