Over dit evenement
For the second event in our series on Authentic Relating & emotions, we’ll dive deeper into Grief.
Grief just wants to be held. Not healed.
Sadness and grief are part of the human experience. They will come up every now and then, often catching us by surprise and sometimes when we experience the loss of something or someone, whether that be a beloved or the mourning of an old dream.
As most most us are not taught in school how to self-regulate and soothe the nervous system while experiencing sadness and grief - we often end up pushing it away, to the depth of our unconscious. This in itself intelligent and not wrong, as the body is trying its best to keep us safe and away from overwhelm. This works, until you notice that these protecting mechanisms are actually not being of service anymore.
Maybe you notice that you feel a lot of resistance in allowing yourself to feel sadness. Or maybe you feel you are pushing down tears as you intuitively feel this is not welcome within your social environment. Or maybe you just want to explore deeper what your relationship with grief is.
It is here that Authentic Relating offers beautiful tools to be-with grief and sadness, first of all in your own experience, but also withnessing it in others without trying to fix it.
True healing happens when you fully allow yourself to feel. Not changing, transforming or fixing, but being deeply present. Instead of offering (well-meant) advice, we’ll practice befriending sadness and grief. We will focus on an embodied way of learning how to be-with, using the body as an anchor and offering practical tools in how to hold yourself and others while moving though the emotions. Building more emotional maturity and a safe environment for yourself and others.
This evening is part of our Themed Intermediate Series, where we dive deeper into emotions. The theme of this evening is 'Grief'.
ABOUT AUTHENTIC RELATING
As human beings, we all learn, grow and love through relationships. What if we could have a deeper understanding of being with other, by having a deeper understanding of ourselves?
Authentic Relating is the practice of acting and speaking from a place of heartfelt vulnerability and deep presence, allowing us to be in alignment with our deepest feelings and weave a more rich and truthful human experience.
During this evening with like-minded people in an open and exploratory environment, you’ll find a safe haven to dive into deep connection, intimacy and closeness
The emphasis in this workshop is highlighting and practicing verbal communication to gain trust, connection and a deeper understanding of being with another. In experiencing these games we are bringing more of ourselves. We are getting real and authentic, nourishing parts that don’t often get expressed and going on a journey of self discovery through laughter, heart opening warmth and care. By doing this we increase our ability to experience abundance.
During this evening we give you practical tools that you can practice and implement in your daily life. You could look at it as a down-to-earth, embodied training for the mind. We recommend to experience it yourself, of course. Come join us!
Buying a ticket saves you a seat in our circle - including the workshop in a beautiful space, nourishing snacks and unlimited teaour

"Very qualified, warm and heartfelt facilitators. They have so much care for every single participant and created a super safe space. I felt quite nervous at the beginning, but the amount of care and the way they guide the group made me ease into the different games and exercises quite organically. I left feeling nourished and very connected to both myself and the others" `
