Step out of the matrix and the hectic pace of modern life. Break free from old patterns, become one with nature, return to your primordial essence and come to the fullness of your life. A week long we will immerse ourselves in profound Qigong and meditation trainings amidst of all the elements and their energies on the beautiful island of São Miguel, Azores Portugal.
Together with a group of like-minded souls, you will journey under the supervision of experienced facilitators who create a warm, safe and supportive environment for your journey. Our team is Portugal, Azores and Netherlands based and has years of experience Qigong, healing, bodywork, psychotherapeutic work and spiritual guidance. They have been guiding retreats at home and abroad for many years.
The week
A week long we will move around the Island. We will leave from the village of Furnas to visit different beautiful sites. The village is a living volcanic gem on the east side of São Miguel Island in Portugal's Azores archipelago. Furnas is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains and is one of the most celebrated beauty spots in the entire Azores. It is bustling with volcanic activity and because all the elements are present, the energy of the region is very powerful. The many Qigong and meditation trainings completely attune you to the elements of nature and its powerful energies and bring about an intense healing and transformation process.
Your stay
You will stay in the Laughing Orchard retreat center in Furnas. All rooms are for 2 to 3 people. There are several bathrooms and a private kitchen and living room. On the property there is an outdoor kitchen with fireplace a Yoga deck, and a COB house sauna.
Own transport is available. Around the center there are several beautiful places to find solitude for contemplation and meditation. During the stay, the food will be completely tailored to the program. You will eat high-quality, nutrient-rich plant-based food that will support you in your process.
The program
The week has a fixed structure and program. We start the day with meditation and Qigong on location. After breakfast we go to special and powerful places in the area for more Qigong, embodiment practices and meditations. Throughout the week in the evenings there are several profound, transformative healing circles to further support your inner process. Among other things, we will work with heat and cold, rhythm and sound, plant medicines, breathwork and movement. In between there is enough space for your own time. To participate in the retreat, experience with Qigong and meditation is recommended but not required. However, you must be sufficiently fit to be able to go through all parts and you must be ready to be mentally and emotionally challenged. The retreat will be provided in Dutch and English
Costs & payment
The costs for the retreat are €850 excl. flight. After your registration you will receive a payment link. After payment of the full amount you will receive a confirmation and your place is reserved. Refunds will not be issued. The price for the local community is €450 without overnight stay. Food and drinks are included.
