Over dit evenement
Truffles and Magic mushrooms have been found to be an effective tool for those seeking an introspective journey towards their inner wisdom. A magic mushroom ceremony can provide a safe and effective space if you would like to face any aspect of yourself, including the unconsciousness. This inner journey can facilitate spiritual development, offering insights into your awareness of life issues, and a deeper understanding of yourself.
What is a magic mushroom?
The truffle for this ceremony is grown organically at home and dried in the sun. It is similar to Psilocybe semilanceata which can be found in the wild in the Netherlands. The substance Psil0€ybin has been extensively researched and found to stimulate the growth of new branches and connections between brain cells and can be a powerful tool for inner-journey work.
What does this ritual look like?
During this ritual there will be a safe to embrace the powerful insights that come with turning inwards, and watch as your inner world transforms before your eyes. We will be a very small group of max 6 participants and 2 trip sitters. We start with a sharing circle, to share our intentions for the journey. Then we will do some light bodywork (Do-In or yoga) to get more into our bodies and feel relaxed. Afterwards, you can sit or lie down to meditate in your own space (we will be together in the same room). We drink a tea with dried mushroom and then you will enter another world. The spirit of the mushroom will bring us in a different level of conscience. After a few hours, you can go outside to connect with the beauty of nature, to dance if you feel like doing that. You can explore and see the world with different eyes.
Who are the facilitators?
Jean and Chris are very experienced in "trip sitting". It is important that there is always someone present as a sitter who is medically and psycholigically trained. They take all the time to inform you well, answer your questions and prepare you for the trip. They are fully at the service of the participants and keep a close eye on how everyone is doing. They are modest but visibly present in the background, so that you can feel safe and secure at all times.
Responsible use of substances
The psychoactive substance will easily be broken down by the body on the same day, leaving no toxic residues. The active substance is relatively harmless, addiction or overdose is virtually impossible and the physical risks are negligible. But please be mindful of the fact that we all have our own experiences and possibly brain chemistry that could entail vastly different (and possibly long term) consequences. All feelings, including annoying feelings are amplified. As a result, "bad trip" causes you to be overwhelmed by the intensity of the experience; nasty hallucinations; feeling of loss of control; anxiety and confusion. A history of psychoses in yourself or in the family is a contraindication for this event. And there is a small risk of Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD): people continue to see visual disturbances and are less able to concentrate.
Preparation
Please read the confirmation e-mail carefully with information about a magic mushrooms ceremony.
We advise to take some time, to reflect on the intentions that resonate with you. Why do you wish to participate in this ceremony and what could it possibly bring to you? What are your fears and expectations?
Every participant will have an intake with one of the facilitators, to talk about your physical and mental health and to share your intention with them. The intake will help you to go deeper into your intention.
We recommend abstaining from alcohol or drugs for at least 24 hours before the ceremony, and eating light and healthy foods to prepare your body and mind for the experience.
It's very effective to take a day of rest and reflection before this workshop. You can do that by joining the Day of Silence on Saturday at the same location.
We advise to stay over for the night or travel back with public transportation. Plan at least one day of rest after the workshop.
