You are invited to experience the art of two dedicated practices/rituals: Tea Ceremony and Shibari on June 25, Tuesday with Koos and Leila at the private space of the Temple of Happiness, Amsterdam. A Grounding process in which we begin with reflection and meditation within ourselves while sipping tea mindfully and consciously, deepened by the connection within ourselves and others. We will explore together to authentically and effectively communicate our desires, and boundaries to create our pleasurable release, relaxation and surrender to our deepest 'truth' (wherever is alive there). As well as to share, connect and integrate our ritualist experiences into a mindful and ecstatic lifestyle.
For the Tea Ceremony (‘Cha Dao’ 茶道, the way of nature through tea) as the opening ritual, Leila will present specially selected tea and guide you through a tea meditation that cultivates mindful process and fluid flow in a harmonious atmosphere that brings us together and improves our taste bud and senses, health and soul.
The art of Shibari (a form of rope bondage originally from Japan) is the physical as well as emotional process that ties it all together - the masculine and feminine process of desires to action, the balance of the power and the surrendering and the feeling of intensity/chaos and stillness/peacefulness. Shibari has been evolving as a flexible and fluid art form that can also be enjoyed for sensual, sexual and creative exploration and performance.
We will start the evening with a grounding tea ceremony, putting us in the right mindset to fully appreciate what the evening will bring us.
After that we will have 3 performances by different artists, each accompanied by a fitting tea to complete the experience.

Our Facilitators:
Leila (Chinese, American) is an artist for tea, plant medicine and intuitive arts, hosting a variety of Tea Ceremonies, often combined with embodiment practices, sound journeys and arts making. She Has been exploring the field of Sensuality, Tantra and Playfulness. You can often find her facilitating rituals and co-creating a safe and connected space. She wishes to together integrate ancient wisdom into a mindful and balanced lifestyle.
Kozy (Dutch) Host of Mischievious Gatherings, organizer/manager of playful experiences for parties, and(erotic) Rope bondage performer.
