Our annual Summer Retreat is coming again, this time from Friday 5th to Tuesday 9th of July! This 5-day mindfulness retreat will be a beautiful journey into the deeper layers of your being. We will meditate, move, share, sing and dance together. It will be a time to nourish yourself by slowing down, connecting and opening up.

♡ PROGRAM
The program will be shared upon arrival. Below is a general idea of what you can expect, but you can be sure that it will be a combination of “serious stuff” and playfulness!

- 9.00h Breakfast
- Walk / working meditation / games
- 12.30h Lunch
- Workshop / Dharma Talk
- Family gathering
- 18.00h Dinner
- Evening program

* You will have enough space and time to take care of yourself and enjoy connecting with others. We are honoured to have two dharma teachers joining us this year.

♡ LOCATION
Venue: Hof van Kairos – Located in Winterswijk.
We are welcomed once more this year in this beautiful retreat center located in a luscious green environment where it offers the perfect atmosphere to facilitate our inner work.

♡ NOURISHMENT
Our beloved cook will provide us with abundant organic and vegetarian/vegan food. If you have any additional wishes please send us a message to see if we can facilitate that. You can write us at zomerretraitewkup@gmail.com.

♡ TICKETS
There are four different type of tickets available, depending on the type of accommodation:
1) Private Room - €250 for a bed in a private room (single occupancy)
2) Shared Room - €225 for a bed in a shared room (2 to 4 persons)
3) Tent - €205 for a space to put your own small tent
4) Dormitory - €185 for a space in a dormitory (bring your own mattress/sleeping bag/pillow)

We have a limited number of budget tickets available. If your financial situation is prohibiting you from participating please send us a message at zomerretraitewkup@gmail.com.

For the bedrooms we request you to bring your own bedsheets/linen.

♡ ABOUT WAKE UP
This retreat is being organised by Wake Up Netherlands, a community of young people (18-39) that like to practice the living art of Mindfulness. We have our roots in the Plum Village tradition that was founded by zen-monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. The energy is open, gentle, and playful.
Please note that this retreat is specifically for people between 18 and 39 years of age.

♡ C0-CREATION & DANA
We are a non-profit community and this event is completely organised by volunteers. This gives us the joy of co-creation, and keeps our ticket prices accessible. It also means we carry this retreat as a group. If you would like to contribute in any way (eg. family group head, facilitate a workshop, make music, etc.) let us know!

Also, we invite you to partake in the Buddhist tradition of Giving Dana, which means practicing generosity. At the end of the retreat there will be the possibility of making a donation. There is no right or wrong amount, everything given from the heart will be gratefully received.
The Dana will be used to support the cook, the owners of the location, the elders and our foundation, all of whom are participating voluntarily.

TRANSPORT
Winterswijk can be reached by train and there will always be some people wanting to pick you up from the station. There is enough parking space for cars, and a carpool list will be provided later.

INCLUSIVENESS AND RESPONSIBILITY
We aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome people from all backgrounds and with all (dis)abilities. The atmosphere is very gentle and we also have spaces that remain silent all day if you wish to rest. When difficult or sensitive things come up, you will find support in the community.
At the same time we would like to emphasize that, even though retreats in our tradition have healing qualities, our organization cannot provide additional support for mental health issues. You are at all times responsible for your own well-being.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- Before June 1st: 75% refund
- Between June 1st and June 15th: 50% refund
- After June 15th: no refund possible
- Reselling your ticket is always possible (please let us know when you do)
