Thai massage is a deep healing practice, meditation in motion, sacred dance.

We practice principals of presence, attention and intention and the most importantly: sharing METTA - loving kindness & compassion. All in meditative state.

This practice is much more than just a massage; it introduces dynamic rocking techniques, full body stretches, deep pressure along energy lines, respects the body rather than going against it, encourages general relaxation and ease - helping the body activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest&digest state). Thai massage is practiced on the floor (futon), with clothes and no oil.

With Nica’s degree in psychology, five years of thai massage practice and more than a decade of experience in teaching yoga, this workshop will be blend of different fields, bringing holistic point of view into thai massage practice.

Let’s explore together:
~ theory in practice: different approaches (meridians, chakra & yoga system, psychology) and how I apply them thai massage
~ principals of touch & body positioning
~ being guided by breath into a meditative state
~ short thai massage sequences according to different psychological themes (safety, emotions, grounding,..) and how our body might communicate them
~ lots of focus on dysregulated nervous system, how to calm and release tension (somatic exercises inspired)

~ feel held, so you don’t have to hold everything, for a moment ~
