Introduction to SaarVadi I Meet our visiting Indian Teachers

We invite everyone to this introduction promoting the arrival of our Indian Musician friends. Anand Kumar Mishra and Annupirya have traveled all the way from Varanasi, India, to spend 5 weeks in Groningen to perform. 

Annu with her perfect voice, a Tanpura, and Harmonium, and Anand with his electric and acoustic Sitars will spend two hours provoking your thoughts and questions concerning the content and authenticity of their musics’ Vedic roots. We will certainly hear their mastery with some singing and playing that will demonstrate a distinctive approach within the disciplines of: Folk, Raga, Dhrupad, Ghazal, Mantra, fusion and more.

After the event Annu and Anand will be available to answer further questions and will also allow you to have a go yourself and interact with some of the teachings demonstrated.
