Always loved the sound of a handpan? Curious about how to play, wondering how to produce a sound? We will be hosting the renowned Benny Bettane first touch handpan workshop (3 hours) at LUZ Roermond. It will be a very practical afternoon in which you can play and learn a lot from Benny Bettane. All the way from Australia but currently based in Antwerp, he is an internationally renowned handpan player, multi-instrumentalist, composer and handpan teacher. As a pioneer of handpan composition and performance, Benny developed a unique and effective method of teaching handpan with great success.

For the last 9 years he has been performing and teaching throughout Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa and North America. He explores the creative bounds of his instrument playing with musicians in multiple styles, including world music, jazz, funk, electronic music, and rap, creating new interesting fusion genres.

On the spiritual side Benny uses the power of the handpan for healing through sound sessions. His magic has traveled around the world, attracting various yogis and spiritual celebrities as Guruji sri sri Ravi Schankar and Bhakti Yoga educator Saul David Raye.

It is his biggest passion to guide people to release the sounds that come from heart -to the handpan! So join us for this workshop if you want to explore the instrument. Limited spaces!

Benny works with different handpan builders from around the world, who are in his belief masters of the craft and the best quality available, so it gives everyone a good honest perspective to discover the handpan differences!

Rental price for handpan for the workshop = included. Water, tea and a handful of nuts (good for the brain, which has to work a lot during the workshop) is also included.

Additionally Benny gives a concert after the workshop (donation based). If you want to stay for this concert but are a bit grumpy, there is a small bite (vegan soup with Limburgs bread) available for €7,50 pp. When you sign up, we will send you an e-mail three days prior to sign up for the soup and the concert, so you can decide this later. We would definitely recommend it though to stay and close this beautiful day with beautiful sounds in full relaxation and with a happy tummy.

Hij geeft van 16-19 uur een workshop (€99 pp, limited spaces*!) en erna een donation based concert. Donation based = je laat ter plekke iets contants achter wat je vindt dat het jou waard is.

Reserveren gewenst (gratis), zodat we weten hoeveel mensen er ongeveer komen. We zitten op matjes, kussens en dekens. Neem je eigen kussen mee als je dat fijn vindt.

Inloop vanaf 19:15 uur. Om 19:30 uur sluiten de deuren!

* wil je je aanmelden voor het concert, meld je dan aan in het rooster op 2 april voor het aparte event van het concert.
