New Moon in Leo - Moon Gatherings

Dear sisters, 

Welcome to the Moon Gatherings 2023!!
I am Ibelisse, I practice earth centred medicine and ritual for about 25 years. I am a medicine woman, an artist and a space holder. I have initiated the Moon Gatherings in the beginning of 2020, which is a ceremony space, a temple and a place for radical listening. I feel deeply honoured and humbled that this circle has had the opportunity to develop into a space of deep sharing, healing and the building of an incredible community of sisters. This initiative is an umbrella that embraces practices that are in synergy with the call of the earth, which comes from a deep connection I nurture with how my ancestors have practiced their ways of life, inherent to my roots and heritage as Bolivian/Brazilian. My mission is to create a space of radical reciprocity, while honouring expansion and letting the spirit of the circle do its magic.

THEME OF THE EVENING
For this new moon in Leo, we welcome the tribe of sisters of all generations - the (inner) children, the grown-ups, the elders and our ancestors at the height of the harvest season. Welcome to the trans and cis kin, divine non-binary systers, earth-loving babies, children, queens, elders, wild dancers, quiet hermits, the keepers of the not-yet. Let us gather this summer and celebrate life in all forms!
Come sit with us in ceremony and listen to the rhythms and cycles of the living world. Listen to the wind, the water, the fire and the earth. Listen to each other.

Shailoh will be the spaceholder for this new moon circle, pouring in some shimmering energies from a year of holding queer full moon sanctuary and giving birth to new life. We will gather in the afternoon, with a shared community picknick afterwards.
Who else would be able to join and help prepare by bringing some tea and arriving around 13.30 to help set up? 🙏❣🙏

LOCATION
Weather allowing, we will meet along the north edge of Nieuwe Meer at the picknick tables where Jaagpad becomes Riekerweg 52.336039,4.845143
From there, we will walk about 10 minutes into one of the few wild secluded forest patches in Amsterdam for the ceremony.
There will be a possibility to swim and to make a small fire.
The location is about 15min cycling from Amsterdam center city, or 15 min walk from Olympisch Stadion.
If you come by car, there is free parking right behind the dog training center.

* meet at 14.30 at Nieuwe Meer
* new moon ceremony from 15-17
* shared potluck picknick from 17-19. Partners, chosen family and/or friends are welcome to join for the picknick afterparty (all genders)!

Please check the messages on the day of the ceremony to confirm the location.
In case of heavy rainfall, we will move to Shailoh & Teresa's studio near Surinameplein.

* swimming suit & towel if you want to take a dip
* any objects/amulets you would like to place in our center
* drums and musical instruments
* 7 flowers, leaves, twigs and/or berries to make an graditude offering to the earth (you can also collect these on the way).
* food and drinks to share for the picknick afterparty
* your own cup, plate and cutlery

THERE ARE LIMITED PLACES, WHEN WE REACH THE LIMIT WE WILL ANNOUNCE IT AS SOLD OUT

SACRED GIFT ECONOMICS
This event is donation-based, as a service to the sisterhood. Please consider how much you are willing and able to give, to honour the time of those preparing and hosting the ceremony. Suggested donation is between €5-25, depending on your situation. Donations in the form of time or crafts are welcome. Please never let money be a hindrance; there is always space to welcome you.
