Libido Love of Life - OpenFloor Embodied Dance - Ongoing Group

Liberate the vitality of Libido, Lust and Love in all areas of your Life!

This Residential Ongoing Group of 4 modules of each 4 days, which can be attended separately or as a whole, gives you the opportunity to spend a year exploring the subtle and not so subtle energies, different textures and themes of sexuality, sensuality and intimacy with a dedicated group. The 'commitment' of this group becomes a safe and dynamic container that offers support and resources from many perspectives while encouraging vulnerability, authenticity and honesty. This program guides and challenges those who are willing to reach their full potential as a mature, sexual, creative human being. The joy and beauty that this journey can provide makes it worth the challenge, as well as the investment and the risk.

During every module there is time to relax and thrive while staying in a beautiful cozy venue in the middle of nature in the eastern part of the Netherlands with an atmosphere of lightness, space and tranquility.

OUR CREATIVE SEXUAL ENERGY is an essential part of the body’s natural expression and movement potential. Libido touches the universal elements which relate to sense, move and increase the capacity to fully embody this life force in all areas of your life.

From the first cells that evolve us into being, to the deep surrender of our last exhale, a lifespan is infused with libido.
Dance can awaken this potent energy in ways that can be electrifying, joyful, overwhelming, frightening, mystifying, and everything in between. We can access this vital energy of eros in a multitude of ways — in moments of deep play or quiet meditation, a tender touch, a provocative piece of art, a sexy song, a mature gaze, the soothing voice of a poet, the sacred words of a mystic. When this energy is acknowledged, supported and expressed authentically, - both in relationship with ourselves as well as with another, others, with life itself - the potential for healing is immense and empowering. We honor the whole self.

Through Open Floor Embodied Dance - combined with other practices as 'Wheel of Consent' and specific psychological information as attachment theory and neuroscience - we create a safe, positive environment to engage in this complex, mysterious and in-depth investigation with curiosity, mindfulness and compassion. We seek to understand how sexuality is shaped by culture, narratives, and social conditioning, and we explore ways to liberate ourselves as we move towards erotic wholeness. Because sexuality is so often underground, ignored, or unconsciously acted out, both in life and on the dance floor, consciously exploring this theme can be intense, liberating, intimate and powerful. The potential pleasure and beauty of this journey is well worth the challenges and the risks.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A MODULE / WORKSHOP?
* We explore this lively, sometimes hidden energy of libido with curiosity and mindfulness using the Open Floor Core Movement Resources.
* We open up physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual terrain of sexuality, libido, lifeforce and other related themes.
* We combine group proces, specific explorations and information through embodied dance and movement exercises, to help discover and unblock the beauty and power of your sexual life force.
* We use other practices as 'Wheel of Consent', the practice of 'awareness and inquiry', breathwork and more, to deepen and integrate your experience.
* There is no explicit sexual content or exercises.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Libido programs are open to all adults regardless of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, or relationship status. We strive to co-create an environment that is inclusive, curious and expansive, and honors the experiences each person brings into the room.
For participation you need some experience with dance forms such as OpenFloor, 5Rhythms, MovementMedicine, Biodanza or similar, to deepen your experience.
OpenFloor Libido programs count as a pre-requisite for the Open Floor Teacher Training.

TEACHER MONIKA KÖRSCHNER
is an accredited 5Rhythms® and OpenFloor teacher and teaches dance and movement as a conscious practice in the Netherlands and abroad for over more than 20 years. The last 15 years she specialised herself in Embodied & Conscious Sexuality.
She is personally trained by Andrea Juhan (co-founder of Open Floor) to teach Libido Fundamentals. Also trained by Betty Martin in the Wheel of Consent.
