Playful connection workshop

Do you want to get out of your head and into your body? Want to meet other people in a playful way without talking about your hobbies and the weather? Come and join this playful connection workshop and meet people through movement!

You are welcome to come and relax, play, discover and have fun. I will guide you step by step through a number of exercises in which you are invited to connect to yourself and other peope from all walks of life. We start with a short meditation and agree with each other how we can work together in a pleasant and safe way. We then do exercises in which you slowly make contact with yourself and the group. There are a number of exercises where gentle touch is an option.

It will not be a sexual workshop, but you are of course welcome to enjoy, laugh and feel what comes up. You can decide for each exercise whether you want to participate and with whom, and of course consent is very important. I will make sure this is done in the safest way possible. My assistant and I are there for your questions and support where necessary.

Assistance and safety
My assistant Angelina(she/her) and myself will be there to guide you through the exercises and to answer your questions. Angelina has a lot of experience with intimacy workhops. She is approachable, kind has a deep understandig of consent and will be there for your questions and support. If you are having a hard time during the workshop or if you want to celebrate a new experience we are there for you!
Consent will be a very important part of this workshop and guidance to negotiate and check consent is shared upfront. The workshop is designed to give you the space to explore in a safer way. You will never get pushed to do anything and we will coach you and remind you to honour your boundaries and how to communicate them. You don’t have to wear any special (sexy) clothes, just stuff you feel good in and that allows you to move. This is a sober workshop so no alcohol, drugs or other mind altering substances before or during the workshop please. If you are intoxicated you can not join.

Inclusivity
In this workshop we will not work with terms as masculine and feminine energy. All 18+ people are welcome whether you are experienced or a total newbie in this field. We love a diverse crowd of people and will do what we can to accomodate this. I identify as non binary myself so I have some experience with not feeling welcome everywhere, if you have any reservations or questions please feel free to contact me. Going to a workshop like this can take courage!
The workshop will be in English unless everybody is comfortable communicating in Dutch.

About Marcus(they/them), facilitator
I love working with groups and creating a place where people can get to know themselves and others in a playful way.
There is so much to discover and experience by listening to your body and by being vulnerable together. Before I started facilitating workshops, I attended many of them. I learned how to relate to myself and other people, which was nice and sometimes confronting. I am someone who gets tense easily and thinks a lot, but through this work I learned to let go, accept who I am and also to enjoy interactions with other people. I would love to share this with you!

Practical info
The workshop will be in Rotterdam Noord, exact address will be provided in your confirmation email. There are paid parking spaces the neighborhood and tram and train(Rotterdam Noord) are very close by. Some simple snacks and tea will be provided!
Walk in from 13:30, start workshop 13:45 sharp.
Please be on time, no admittance if you are too late. If you will be late please call me on the number in the confirmation email.

No refunds after purchase of a ticket.

Accessibility
There are no stairs in the space but toilets are not specifically all-access. There will be a cosy corner in the room where you can chill out at any time during the workshop. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about accesibility and we can see if we can make it work.
