Forró Workshop & Vinyl Party with DJ Boró (Brazil)

After the success of our latest shows with Forrofía and and Forró de Rabeca, we are thrilled to announce the next Forró event in Nijmegen. Discover the magic of this vibrant Brazilian partner dance and be part of a warm, openhearted community! Whether you're a beginner or an advanced dancer, our workshop is the perfect place to bring your dancing skills to the next level and to experience the joy, the connection, and the energy of forró.

After the workshop you'll be ready to put your new dancing skills into action - we'll have DJ Boró at the turntables for our very first Forró Vinyl Party here in Nijmegen. See you on the dancefloor! 👣

✨ Who is giving the workshop?
Brazilian dance teacher and DJ Boró is visiting us from Münster, Germany, where he currently lives. Boró has a passion for the northeastern culture (the part of Brazil where forró is from originally), and is a specialist in "Brasilidades".
As a DJ, his sets are a fusion of northeastern musical styles. He is bringing his vinyl records for an authentic touch, creating memorable dance experiences for everyone in the room.

Dress code: Most important is to be yourself. We do highly recommend comfortable clothes and flexible bendable shoes.

It’s danced to the rhythmic beats of forró music, which blends accordion, zabumba, and triangle to create a captivating and energetic sound. The dance itself is all about connection, with close partner moves that make it easy to learn and incredibly fun to dance. Forró is sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart!
