Meet me in the Middle

"The way to an honest dancing dialogue"

In today's conscious dance scene, dancing together can be a wonderful and powerful experience, but also a scary one...

This workshop will be all about how to create the sensitivity that is needed for an honest, genuine and balanced contact dance. Through various simple individual and partner exercises, we will work towards a foundation for the communications that can take place on an ecstatic dance floor, or even outside of it.
This will not be about fancy moves, but rather about authentically relating in dance. Once a safe space is created and harmony is found, creative expressions, explorations and playfulness can really take place.

Jethro is a contemporary breakdancer and meditation teacher. He likes to combine movement with energy work and meditation.

Isabel is a blackbelt Aikidoka, belly dancer and burlesque performer. She likes to embody and express sacred sensuality.

Jethro and Isabel met 4 years ago on the Ecstatic Dance floor. Dancing together is one of their strongest ways of communicating. Through their conscious dance practice, they have cultivated a strong ability to 'read' each other, and others as well, and to hold space for one another.
