A one-day experience for couples and everyone interested in intimacy, relationships and lovemaking.


♡ WHAT IF MAKING LOVE COULD BE MORE THAN HAVING SEX? ♡

What if sexuality could become a place where we meet ourselves and each other more deeply — with honesty, curiosity, pleasure and love?

Intimate relationships can be one of the most beautiful — and sometimes one of the most challenging — places in our lives.

Over time, it can be difficult to keep the aliveness, openness and ease that may have been there at the beginning. Sex can slowly become something we do, something we expect from ourselves or each other, or something we avoid when there is tension, pressure or uncertainty.

But there is another possibility.

During this one-day experience, we invite you to explore a different approach to intimacy and sexuality: moving from doing to being, from expectations to curiosity, and from trying to make something happen to discovering what is actually alive in ourselves and between us.


✦ THIS DAY IS ABOUT THE COUPLE — BUT YOU DON'T NEED TO COME AS A COUPLE ✦

The Art of Making Love is open to everyone who is curious about intimate relationships and what helps a couple thrive.

You are welcome whether you come with your partner or on your own.
Maybe you are in a relationship and want to deepen it. Maybe you are single and want to understand more about the dynamics of intimate relationships. Maybe you are curious about sexuality, connection and lovemaking. Or perhaps you want to discover what can help two people remain open, honest and alive together over time.

At the heart of this day is a question that fascinates us:
♡ How can we create relationships in which both people can be fully themselves — and where intimacy and sexuality contribute to healing, growth and love?


✦ WHAT WE WILL EXPLORE ✦

Throughout the day, we will create space to slow down and become more aware of ourselves, our bodies, our desires, our boundaries and the way we meet another person.

We will explore themes such as:
♡ Moving from “should” and “have to” towards choice and curiosity

♡ Self-connection as a foundation for intimacy

♡ Becoming more aware of your YES and your NO

♡ Moving from doing sex towards being in lovemaking

♡ Sensuality, sensitivity and pleasure

♡ Vulnerable honesty and empathic listening

♡ Cultivating love through sexuality

♡ Appreciation and celebration as nourishment for a relationship

There will be teaching, conversation and body-based practices, with exercises you can explore individually and, when you come together, with your partner. And take home with you as an inspiration.

Nothing is obligatory.
Every exercise is an invitation.
We want to support you in becoming more connected to what is true for you — your longings, your boundaries, your YES, your NO, your pleasure and your vulnerability.
For us, intimacy does not begin with doing something to another person. It begins with being connected to ourselves.
From there, meeting another person can become something very different.

You don't need to come because something is “wrong.”
And you don't need to be in a relationship to participate.
You can come because love and intimate relationships matter to you — and because you are curious about what else might be possible.


✦ ABOUT US ✦

We are Bonno and Marije.
In our own relationship, we explore how to create a place where we can support ourselves and each other to become vibrantly alive and embrace life fully.

A central part of our work is exploring sexuality not as something separate from the relationship, but as a powerful place for healing, pleasure, love and growth.

Our work is rooted in Nonviolent Communication. We are both trainers for Connecting2Life and have taught hundreds of people over the last years about the power of vulnerable honesty and empathic listening.

The Art of Making Love grew from our own exploration of what happens when we bring these qualities into one of the most intimate and vulnerable areas of our lives: our sexuality and our relationships.

There is no nudity or sexual intercourse during the course.
All exercises are invitations, and you always choose what feels right for you.
You can participate alone or together with your partner.
