Muladhara * Root Chakra Women’s Circle

A women’s circle exploring the Root Chakra through yoga, meditation, journaling and connection.

I’ve been wanting to create this series for a while. Chakras have always fascinated me and were an important part of my yoga trainings. With this series, I want to bring that aspect of yoga into my workshop while creating the kind of space I love most: women coming together, moving, reflecting and connecting.

Every two weeks, we’ll explore one of the seven main chakras and the themes associated with it through movement and introspection.

First circle: Muladhara

Muladhara is traditionally known as the Root Chakra, associated with grounding, safety, stability and belonging.

During this 2-hour circle, we’ll explore these themes through:

• An introduction to the Root Chakra and its symbolism
• A grounding yoga practice inspired by Muladhara ( slow flow Yang To Yin Yoga )
• Meditation and breathwork
• Guided journaling
• A sharing circle and time to connect with each other

No previous yoga or chakra experience is needed. Come as you are, with curiosity and an open mind.

Please bring your yoga mat, comfortable clothes, a journal and a pen.

This is the first circle of a 7-part journey through the chakras. You’re welcome to join this one circle or follow the journey throughout the series.

PS : This circle happens on the same day as the March for Climate.

And if the vibes are vibing, we might even head there together in the afternoon and keep the sisterhood going outside the circle.
