What would your movement look like if you stopped worrying about how you look?
As children, many of us moved, played and expressed ourselves with less concern about doing it “right.” As we grow older, we can become more self-conscious. We compare ourselves, worry about being judged, overthink and sometimes learn to make ourselves smaller.

Move Like Nobody’s Watching is a 3-hour Dance Expression workshop where we’ll explore what happens when we begin to let some of that go.

Through guided movement, free dance, playful exercises and moments of reflection, we’ll explore the thoughts and patterns that can hold us back and discover how they show up in our bodies.
We’ll experiment with moving beyond our usual patterns, reconnect with our playful and curious side, explore taking up space and experience what confidence can feel like in the body, rather than just thinking about it.

✨ In this workshop, you’ll explore:
• Letting go of self-judgment & overthinking
• Reconnecting with your playful, childlike self
• Expressing yourself freely through movement
• Building confidence & taking up space

I will also bring elements inspired by Laban Movement Analysis, using different movement qualities to explore new possibilities for expression and discover how changing how we move can influence how we experience ourselves.
This is not a choreography class and there is no “right” way to dance. You don’t need to be flexible, coordinated or have any dance experience.
The invitation is simply to come with curiosity and a willingness to explore. 🤍

Who is it for?
Everyone. Especially if you sometimes feel self-conscious when dancing, tend to overthink, find yourself holding back, or simply miss moving and playing without worrying about how you look.
Come as you are.
No dance experience needed.
