Sensual Rope Play (Shibari)

Playing with rope is fun, exciting, and a great way to practice surrendering to whatever is alive in us.

In this workshop, we are going to tie each other up in a way that fosters connection and intimacy. We are using rope to connect to our bodies and to what is alive in the moment.

By slowing down and connecting to what gives us joy we create a space for exploration and play.

We explore how we can connect to someone with the ropes. This can be playful, sensual, meditative, or well, you name it.

This workshop is meant for people who already have some experience in mindfulness/tantra/embodiment practices, but are new to shibari and rope play.

In this workshop you will learn:
- Some of the basics of shibari (rope-play)
- Different ways to connect to someone by using rope
- Sensual play with ropes
- Basic consent theory, boundary setting, and self-care

What not to expect:
x There will be no nudity in the workshop (underpants stay on) or touching of genitals.

This evening is both for singles and couples. During the evening we will do partner exercises. We will often switch partners, but you can also come as a (situational) couple.

About the facilitator:

Kim has been walking the path of tantra since 2016 and has been experimenting with conscious kink for over a year. She has followed several trainings in both areas, including School of Shakti’s year training and facilitator training, a course in Tantric Domination, and an extensive course in Tantric Dance. She has lived in and visited several tantric communities on her travels and has been giving workshops on and off for several years.

In the past two years, her healing journey included exploring power dynamics and rope-play (shibari), which brought her attention to the great potential it has to play and have fun with, while integrating more parts of herself. Allowing her to become a better human along the way.
