Indigenous Mapuche Art & Music Exhibition + Food

Over dit evenement

On Saturday the 27th of June, we will be celebrating the closing of our dear Mapuche elder Juan Manque's Art Exhibition at Casa Migrante, where for the past month he has had his paintings of traditional Mapuche symbols on display.

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

13:45 - Walk-in
14:00 - Film screening of the documentary "Kintum Nutram", by Likan Manque Cona
14:30 - Post-film Q&A Discussion with Likan
15:00 - Multicultural Indigenous Panel Discussion on indigenous identity in urban and diaspora environments, solidarity across borders, and the endurance of resilience needed to keep our cultures alive today
17:00 - Rap/Hip-Hop Performance by Likan (all songs bilingual in Mapudungun & Spanish)

*The ticket price includes a traditional Mapuche meal, home cooked by Juan (unfortunately it is not vegetarian).

Additionally, there will be unique hand crafted jewelry for sale, created by a Mapuche political prisoner.

All proceeds from this event will go to support the Mapuche community.

We hope you can join us! ✨
