ABOUT THE LOCATION
We welcome you to this beautiful workshop that is being offered for the first time at an incredible new location for dancing, near Amsterdam in ‘Temple of Sofia’ with a 200 m² wooden dance floor a great sound system and a cozy atmosphere.
WHAT IS CONTACT BEYOND CONTACT?
Contact Beyond Contact is a dance- and healing practice where you may discover the connection with yourself and others. It invites an opening of the heart and authentic, playful interactions through movement and dance. CBC was created in 2019 by Jeroen's teacher Vangelis Legakis.
A CBC-session is a 2,5 hour journey in which a ‘new’ movement language is being taught. Acquiring new abilities in movement expression and developing clear intentions, clear leading & following, clarity of inner boundaries, sensing your ‘yes’ and your ‘no’ among many other qualities. A workshop to develop a more genuine connection with ourselves and others!
CBC incorporates elements from Authentic Movement (AM), Contact Improvisation (CI), Passing Through (PT), yoga, chi gong, and meditation. This workshop is for everyone who loves to dance and wants to deepen their dance experience with themselves and others. No prior dance experience is required. Suitable for beginners and more experienced dancers.
In this workshop, we will embark on a journey together, discovering ourselves in stillness, movement and connection. Learning new ways to express and dance together. Opening our heart and re-discovering our body. In between the different tools that are being offered there is time for reflection and sharing together, to invite a deeper understanding of the experiences, also in relationship to our daily lives. Everything that happens within dancing and creative expression has a relationship to our daily lives. Looking at it more closely with attention to what is actually happening will reveal a lot of information about ourselves and the deep-rooted mechanisms that condition us in one way or another. For most people a very insightful, transformative and joyful experience.
WHO ARE THE FACILITATORS?
The workshop is guided by Jeroen Dorrestein (Dj Yarun Dee) and assisted by Aeon Sofia.
Jeroen is offering these workshops for several years around Europe at conscious festivals and also in combination with Ecstatic Dances. He acquired the knowledge and CBC in special training in Guatemala, in an open-air studio next Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcano’s.
The beauty of CBC in his view is that it works and transforms instantly. Within one session a whole new world emerges in the participants, personally and in the group as a whole. Jeroen is offering very clear, deeply empathic and playful facilitation with a spark of humor and an open heart. He is always willing and inviting to explore together and he has a great wish to re-connect the people of the world.
Sofia has been a passionate dancer her whole life from early childhood, with a lot of experience in partner dances like Ballroom, Brazilian Zouk and Lambada, but also a free form of intuitive dancing. Sofia is also a Tantra facilitator working with polarity and deep self exploration, bringing in a lot of expertise on self awareness and loving connection, with a spark of fire to this CBC session.
Together they create a very nurturing and safe container and an environment where the magic of authenticity, exploration, playfulness, depth, movement and dance can unfold.

What to bring: A water bottle and comfortable clothing for dancing. A pillow and blanket are optional if desired. A snack? The session is without shoes.
Tickets: Early bird €19,50 (first 8 tickets), regular ticket €23,50
(We would like to welcome anybody to this workshop. If you need a low income ticket we will provide a ticket for €15,00)
