We're back with a fresh line-up of DJ's & live musicians to pleasure your eardrums and get your feet moving!
Fiery dance music from around the globe with a focus this time on music from the Balkan Peninsula. A playground where there's room for the intimacy of a mandolin or a storytelling trumpet as well as exhilarating bass music. A night full of contrast, excitement and dance-floor crackers to warm your bones and make it through the winter cold!
THIS WINTER EDITION:
20:00 - 21:00 DUCAS- we start with our special guest of the night, so please come on time! Ducas will take you to his native Greece with folky melodies played live on mandolin & guitar and fused with juicy beats, using drum machines, sequencers, groove boxes & synths to ground and move you.
21:00 - 22.30 MOONDROPS - bass player from the illustrious Moonshine Sisters; will be behind the decks this time. She has a unique way of combining avant-garde pop, Turkish Disco, obscure Balkan electronics a dash of Afro with high dose of funkiness and charm, that is simply irresistable.
22:30 - 23:15 LAURA JAYNE - just back from Brasil, will mix oriental vibes with Afro Beats and trippy bass music, making you feel the summer sun and forget the icy winds of February.
23:15 - 00.45 MILAN MES & SOCRATES - Milan Mes has produced a fist full of banging Folk rave tracks he's dying to let loose in the tanker, causing mayhem and ecstasy in the process. Adding his swirling trumpet to the mix, he takes his inspiration from party music of the Balkans. This happens to be a specialty of Socrates too, hailing back to the 2000 heydays of the Balkan Beats movement & beyond. `He will feel right at home, jumping in half way through Milans set for a bit of B2B action to close the night!

De Tanker, is a former petrol station painted pink! It's located along the motor motorway "de Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg" on the edge of the Noorderpark in Amsterdam
