Ceramic STONEWARE Workshop at Keramiek Love

In this two part ceramic workshop in the relaxing art studio the Oracle of Zee, Amsterdam Oost, you will learn how to make handbuild STONEWARE mugs, cups, small bowls and dishes, salt & pepper shakers, small sculptures, spoons and other kitchen items out of ceramic clay. Your collection will be fired, and two weeks later we will come together again for the second part of the workshop: glazing!
We have an assortment of 30+ stoneware ceramic glazes to choose from to make your clay creations stunning. Stoneware items are fired to a higher temperature, vitrifying the clay and making them kitchenworthy with food safe glazes.

Ceramics is an ancient artform made up of all five elements: earth~water~fire~air & ~ether.
Working with clay is extremely grounding and community building, allowing for pure creative expression. Your imagination is the limit when it comes to working with this medium!

Your host for this workshop is the artist Maia Lyon Daw, who together with Splitter Splatter (aka Iekeliene Stange) are the clay brains behind keramiek.love.
