Medicine Plant Walk with Iskra & Feeling Ohm

Na een lekker avondje dansen met DJ Iskra op zaterdag avond bij Live to Be, shape-shift Branka (haar echte naam) naar medicijnvrouw en maken we op zondag ochtend een medicine walk door Oosterwold, op zoek naar medicinale planten. Juist in de lente, zijn de eerste “onkruidjes” de opkomen vaak een geneeskrachtige plant die nodig is voor onze detox, na een lange winterslaap. Branka neemt ons mee en wijst ca. 10 verschillende kruiden aan en hoe we die gebruiken voor detox en immunity boost.

We eten een heerlijke vegetarische maaltijd soep na afloop door vegan chef Noëlle. Zij is eigenaar van Feeling Ohm, een heerlijke massage / retraite plek wat tevens het startpunt van onze medicine walk.

"Every spring I collect certain plants to do my yearly cleanse (from toxins build up in the winter time). At the same time I also pick fresh plants to improve my immunity through couple of days long “cura" (plant treatment). Nature is so tuned in, that exactly now, at the beginning of the spring, some of the first medicinal herbs to show up, are exactly those for cleansing and immunity boost. In this workshop you will learn how to recognize more than 10 of these beauties, where to pick them and how to use them"

We will eat a beautiful vegetarian soup afterwards, prepared by vegan chef Noëlle. She is owner of Feeling Ohm, a fabulous bodywork / retreat place on the side of the forest. This will be the starting point of our medicine walk.

About Branka:
I studied medicinal plants since 1994, primary in the Balkans area. Since 2015 I have a permaculture garden in bio-diverse garden park in Amsterdam, Amstelglorie. In the Amstelglorie and its surroundings I recognized local medicinal plants, many of which grow in my garden. I use these herbs to make medicinal teas, tinctures, oils, balms and other remedies which you can find on my website: www.iskramassage.nl/products/
My goal is to teach as many people as possible the traditional knowledge of plants, so that we can again be independent and sustainable when comes to health, relationship with nature and holistic worldview.
