Feldenkrais to Instant Composition

Who are you? And what makes you, you?

Our experiences from the past, our surroundings, thoughts and habits shape our character and make out a great deal of how we define ourselves. But which parts of us still serve us today and which ones do we actually not connect with anymore but still carry with us without noticing?

We will gently approach these questions through sensitivity, awareness, movement and imagination in this workshop series.

To begin with, a guided Feldenkrais sequence will help us connect to the subtle parts of our being, letting us discover our inner and outer landscapes. From there on we will explore with a good dose of playfulness and curiosity what is alive in us at the moment and use this to compose a piece in the here and now.

This workshop is for everyone who wants to learn how to listen and accept more to what is alive in them and their surrounding. It is for those who would like to surprise themselves of their own creative output and like to lose themselves in the world of imagination.
We will work mainly starting from movement, however no dance experience is necessary. Feel welcome to bring an instrument with you.

It is beneficial to attend all three workshops as you will be able to receive the most out of them, but joining one or two is just as well possible.

The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic practice that works mostly with small and gentle movements combined with awareness. By creating sensitivity to the subtle parts of our being, we are able to become more aware of habitual tension and can develop healthier movement patterns. Therefore, creating more space in us for lightness and joy.
