🔥 Men-Only Heartbreak / Divorce grief support group
The first community group ever by Sit Around the Fire!

In the "When Things Fall Apart" book by Pema Chödrön, she says:
"The only time we ever know what’s really going on is when the rug’s been pulled out and we can’t find anywhere to land. We use these situations either to wake ourselves up or to put ourselves to sleep.". We call you to join us into a walk into waking up, collectively, through deep pain.


🪵 The Program
The program will start with a brief meditation to calm our mind and nervous systems down and opening our hearts to the hurt and pain currently present and to the support of each other. We will clarity the baseline agreements that will make our group a safe and thriving place for everyone. We then proceed into a sharing circle, where we get to know each other at a more intimate level. The story behind the smile, the grief that's been lived with mostly alone. We then move on into smaller groups of deeper personal work, where we meet each other's needs for guidance, direction, reassurance and regulation. If time and the weather allow, we can finish off with a walk around the Zuiderpark.

🌱 You are welcome
We welcome men of any age who are willing to do the work and are willing and capable of looking inwards. This is NOT the place to badmouth your ex or blame anyone. We also expect you to come with the intention to find support as well as be a supporting heart to others. A no BS satsang for men.

Since this is the first event ever, it will be the starting point and will involve as we go. Your feedback, needs, and ideas will be welcomed into shaping a better program for everyone.

🗺️ Location & Facilities
Initially, these groups will take place at the living room of Nuno (founder of Sit Around The Fire). We will see how we grow and if we will need a bigger and different setup in the future. Coffee, tea, and water will be available. No intoxication allowed.
Toilet will also be available.
