1 day Workshop: From Plant to Paint - Working with natural pigments

In this introductory workshop, we’ll explore the world of natural pigments in a hands-on and accessible way. You’ll learn how natural materials can be transformed into paint using simple, creative recipes, and experience the magic of working with pigments from nature.

We meet at STEK Breda, in my studio (Veilingkade 9A). During this afternoon, we’ll work directly with prepared natural materials and pigments, exploring different paint recipes and experimenting with watercolor, ink, and other natural paint forms.

You will receive an e-book beforehand to give you context and guidance. This allows you to fully focus on the hands-on process during the workshop, while still having a reference to continue experimenting at home afterwards.

What you can expect:
• An introduction to working with natural pigments and how they are transformed into paint
• Insight into different paint recipes for watercolor, ink, and simple natural paints
• Hands-on experience with ready-prepared natural materials and pigments
• Creating and taking home several jars of your own handmade paint
• Working within the creative hub STEK in Breda

• No prior experience needed—everyone is welcome
