Zweethut; een nieuw begin

Na een jaar van bezinning, verdieping, vrolijkheid en nog meer van dat moois, is het nu weer tijd voor een Zweethut!

Met als thema, jawel! een nieuw begin.

De Zweethut ceremonie wordt gedragen door drie Vuur Priesteressen Margo, Rita en Bonita.

Onze intentie is om mooie diepgaande Vuur Rituelen te brengen. Vuur heeft ons bij elkaar gebracht en vandaag is dat een Zweethut ceremonie.

De ceremonie begint op zaterdag om 10.00u , koffie en thee staat klaar vanaf 9.30

Voor de hut is het fijn om gewoon te ontbijten en niet of heel licht te lunchen.

Na afloop van de hut houden we een pot-luck . Daarvoor mag je iets te eten mee brengen wat je kunt delen. Breng iets meer mee dan je zelf zou eten tijdens een lunch, bij voorkeur vegetarisch/biologisch.

Wat neem je mee voor de zweethutceremonie?

2 of 3 handdoeken, waarvan 1 om op te zitten in de hut
Eventueel een badjas of omslagdoek en slippers
Een krachtvoorwerp voor op het altaar (als je wilt)
Drum of ratel (als je wilt)
Kleding afgestemd op het weer
Eten voor potluck
En neem een bord, soepkom, bestek en beker mee!!!

De kosten bedragen 90 euro.

Een Zweethut is een ceremonie om het lichaam, de geest en de ziel te reinigen. Het aangaan van deze ceremonie buiten in de natuur vraagt van je dat je bereidt bent aan te zien en te voelen wat er is. Je open te stellen voor wat het Vuur, de hete Stenen en het zweten in de Hut jou op dit moment te vertellen hebben. De overgave ingaan door je lichaam te laten zweten, je geest te laten zingen en je ziel te laten spreken. Samen in de hut te komen om je te verbinden met elkaar en het grotere geheel. Het diepere weten toelaten.

Een Zweethut betekent ook een heerlijke dag buiten in de natuur, dicht bij Moeder Aarde. Een dag van verbinding, drum, zingen en dansen samen met een groep mooie mensen. Samen voorbereiden en samen de duisternis in, het niet hoeven weten.

De Zweethut zelf is van wilgentakken gemaakt en is rond van vorm. De poort van de hut is laag, zodat je op je knieën in en uit de hut moet, wat je er aan herinnerd om nederig te zijn en beseffen dat we niet meer of minder zijn dan andere levensvormen. De hut is bedekt met dekens (oorspronkelijk met dierenhuiden) die alle licht buiten houden. Dit geeft en gevoel van terugkeer naar de baarmoeder van Moeder Aarde, en zorgt voor een veilige en heilige ruimte waar je je kunt overgeven aan wat zich aandient.
Met eerbied nemen wij onze plek om Zweethutten op Sterrenland aan te bieden in de traditie zoals wij ze hebben doorgekregen van de Maan Priesteressen.

The Sweat Lodge ceremony is facilitated by three Fire Priestesses Margo, Rita and Bonita.

Our intention is to bring beautiful profound Fire Rituals. Fire has brought us together and this Fire Ritual is a Sweat Lodge ceremony.

Practical information:
Ceremony guide is Bonita de Jaga and the FireKeepers are Rita de Boer and Margo Lieverse.

The ceremony starts on Saturday at 10.00 am, tea is ready from 9.30 am. The day will finish around 7 pm so that we can all go home at 7.30 pm.


For the Sweatlodge it is nice to just have breakfast and not or very light lunch.

After the SweatLodge Ceremony we will have a pot-luck dinner. For that you can bring something to eat that you can easily share. Bring a little more than you would eat yourself during lunch, preferably vegetarian/organic.

We take care of the soup.

What do you bring for the Sweat Lodge ceremony?

2 or 3 towels, 1 of which to sit on in the Sweatlodge

Possibly a bathrobe or shawl and slippers

A power object for the altar (optional)

Drum of shaker (optional)

Clothing tailored to the weather.

Food for potluck

And for the food, bring a plate, soup bowl, cutlery and cup!!

And here some more information about the Sweat Lodge:

A Sweat Lodge is a ceremony to cleanses the body, mind and soul. Entering into this ceremony outdoors in nature requires you to be willing to see and feel what is there. To open up to what the Fire, the hot Stones and the sweating in the SweatLodge have to tell you here and now. Entering the surrender by making your body sweat, your mind singing, and your soul speak. To come together in the cabin to connect with each other and the bigger picture. Allowing deeper knowing.

A Sweat Lodge also means a wonderful day outside in nature, close to Mother Earth. A day of connection, drumming, singing and dancing together with a group of beautiful people. Preparing together and into the darkness together, not having to know.

The Sweat Lodge itself is made of willow branches and is shaped as a circle. The gate of the SweatLodge is low, so you have to get in and out of the cabin on your knees, which reminds you to be humble and realize that we are no more or less than other life forms. The Sweatlodge is covered with blankets (originally with animal skins) that keep out all light. This gives a sense of returning to the womb of Mother Earth, and provides a safe and sacred space where you can surrender to what presents itself.

A Sweat Lodge is of all times and of many peoples. We owe the fact that we still know about it to the Native Americans. We are grateful for their example and perseverance to experience this ceremony. We are grateful for the bringers of the Sweat Lodge to Europe and the Netherlands. With reverence we take our place to offer Sweat Lodges on Starland in the tradition as we have received them from the Moon Priestesses.
