We are happy to announce that Kaap will transform into a stage for Ecstatic Dance every other Tuesday. This Tuesday the 14th of Oktober we are happy to dance with DJ ESTA POLYESTA ! This is an invitation to immerse yourself in a world of music, dance and free self-expression in a unique free space in Amsterdam (With free parking). A place to be yourself and to connect with yourself and with each other.
DJ ESTA Polyesta
DJ Polyesta creates a party with Global Beats and Ethno House. Polyesta is well known for her World Music and Balkan Beats sets, but because of her love for electronic music, she truly enjoys merging beats with ethnic music into a funky feel-good mix.
She blends music from Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe like there are no borders, connecting cultures and people in dance. Polyesta’s style is flowing and feminine, uplifting and fun. “Dance is a celebration.”
Polyesta is a DJ on a mission: Bring world music to the clubs and festivals by mixing ethnic, acoustic sounds with electronic beats. She spices up dance music with samples and recordings of world music or with live musicians.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines:
Ecstatic dance is a magical dance and music journey on a two-hour set by one of our DJ’s. It is both a journey with yourself and with each other, without talking. This allows you to go deeper into your body and make more and better contact with it. This is one of the essential differences with a normal dance or club night. Because you do not fall into talking or chitchat, you can literally end up on another layer or in another dimension and discover other parts of yourself and others. At times even in total ecstasy and bliss, without drugs and without alcohol, and barefoot. Free to dance alone or together. Will you come and create magic with us, play and experiment?
Practical
* Time: Doors open at 18:45h The dance starts at 19:45h and lasts two hours.
* Ceremony: Each session will be introduced and concluded with a ceremony at 19:15h with which we can celebrate the energy of dance and the connection with each other.
