For the program during the Bhakti Festival: see below after the text!
Ten years after we organised our very first Bhakti Festival at the Sadashiva Dham ashram in Loenen, near Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, we are delighted to announce a new edition of this wonderful heart-centered gathering!
This year, the festival runs from 14 August late afternoon (5 pm) to 18 August morning. The main practice is kirtan—devotional chanting led by talented musicians.
There will also be yoga, satsang (sharing experiences), temple and fire ceremonies and maybe more. Kids can enjoy a special program, and everyone is welcome to share delicious vegetarian meals and visit the chai shop for refreshments.
As part of the program, everyone will be cordially invited to join in one hour of karma yoga (some service) each day. It’s a way to help the festival run smoothly and share in creating it together.
The atmosphere at the Bhakti Festival is always filled with a sense of warmth and unity. Everyone is warmly welcomed, creating a loving space where differences fade and hearts connect.
It's beautiful how, in such a sacred setting, strangers quickly form deep bonds—often feeling like lifelong friends.
Set in the heart of De Hoge Veluwe, the Netherlands' largest forest, this festival is a peaceful break from daily life. Surrounded by nature, it's a chance to recharge, connect, and remember the love and divinity within us all—to carry that love back into the world.
Everything happens in the sacred space of Sadashiva Dham, an ashram inspired by Mahavatar Haidakhan Babaji and Maha Muniraj.
For overnight stays in the ashram itself: please note, we have only weekend tickets available.
Address of the festival: Sadashiva Dham, Vrijenbergweg 60, 7371 AB Loenen near Apeldoorn, Netherlands. Website: Babaji.nl. Mail to: bhaktifestivalnl@gmail.com.
PS. If you come by public transport, take the train to Apeldoorn or Dieren. From there, take bus 43 towards Loenen and get off at bus stop Leeuwenbergweg in Loenen. From there it is a 20-minute walk to the ashram(From the bus stop, walk out of the village and then take the first road on the right - Vrijenbergweg). Contact the ashram if you want to be picked up at the bus stop (tel. 0031555052871).
