THE ART OF EMBODIED COMMUNICATION: BODYWORK & NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION
Do you find it scary to be fully honest?
Do you sometimes hold back to keep the peace?
Do you say 'yes' while something else is true inside you?
Would you love to hear the essence of what someone means, regardless of the words they use?
Or do you sometimes not even know what you’re feeling or longing for yourself?
Many of our everyday ways of communicating get in the way of real connection.
What if you could speak and listen with honesty and care?
What if you express yourself in a way that is in full alignment with your body?
In this series of five, you'll learn the foundations of nonviolent communication: a way of speaking and listening that is clear, honest, and vulnerable.
We go beyond techniques and formulas, and explore how your body holds the key to deeper contact.
What you can expect
We work with roleplay, partner exercises, and reflection, using real-life examples from your own experience.
Embodied practice:
Learn to use your body as a compass for what you truly need and want to express.
Resonant language:
Speak the language of life using words that touch what you feel.
Themes
We offer themes that help you bring more clarity, vulnerability, and connection to your relationships.
The Five Sessions
Session 1: What do needs feel like: connecting to our essence
Discover the root of 99% of all conflict and how to find the deeper need behind your thoughts and judgments. Learn how connection and mutual understanding become possible, even in challenging moments.
Session 2: Express Yourself: shared reality & speaking from the heart
How often do we confuse our thoughts and beliefs with reality? Learning to distinguish between the two brings clarity and connection. We dive into the body, the place where our feelings and needs live. You'll be invited to give expression to your inner experience and feel how resonant words can strengthen emotional truth.
Session 3: Embodied language
Needs and longings drive our actions. When we embody them, we tap into our inner strength and the place of abundance within. Finding words that resonate on this level can open new doors in our relationships and support collaboration based on a wholehearted "yes."
Session 4: Listening beyond words
Learn how to hear what truly lives inside another, even in tough conversations. When we tune into what matters most, beyond the surface of someone's words, connection becomes possible. Being fully heard is deeply healing.
Session 5: Manifest your dreams: the art of asking for what you want
In this final session, we explore the felt sense of abundance within and around us, while becoming clear and specific about what we want and why. We distinguish between making a request and making a demand, and why the latter kills connection. We also explore receiving a "no" and uncover the "yes" that lies underneath.
This training is for anyone who longs for more understanding, depth, and clarity in relationships: with your partner, children, family, colleagues, friends, and most of all: the one with yourself.

About the trainer, Floortje Vermeiden
In 2014, I was introduced to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by my mindfulness trainer. From the very first session, it felt like coming home: I discovered how connecting to my longings is a key to healing, (self-)compassion and understanding, but also a portal to experience abundance and freedom.
At the time, I worked as a yoga teacher, and NVC became the way I brought my yoga practice off the mat, into everyday life.
Captivated, I immersed myself in training after training, including the Year Course "Embodying and Teaching Nonviolent Communication" (2015/2016) and the "Mediation Year Course based on Nonviolent Communication" (2016/2017), both with Yoram Mosenzon. In 2024 I attended a 9-day International Intensive Training in Slovenia and I am on the path toward becoming a certified trainer in NVC.
In 2016 I began offering trainings myself. Since then, I've shared my love for NVC with individuals, NGOs, and schools, and assisted in countless workshops. For the past year and a half, I've also worked with one-on-one clients worldwide.
This work continues to move me. It has become a spiritual path, one I deepen daily through both living and teaching it. That’s what I love about offering training and coaching: I get to share what I care about the most, while I continue to learn myself. Contributing to meaningful relationships, deeper (self) understanding and compassion keeps me going!
I believe bodywork is an essential part of NVC to deeply connect to our bodies. That’s why I weave simple body-based practices throughout the sessions, drawing inspiration from my experience with (among others) yoga, voice liberation, and ecstatic dance.
NVC: the language of the body, of life and love!
