We are Ecstatic Dance Young (from Play Utrecht) and we have the honour to offer these events for you.
Ecstatic Dance is a special dance event based on expressive movement, connection and community. To come together in a place, to move through whatever is there for you in a held environment.
The facilitation and the music journey are designed to bring you closer to yourself and can bring to light what needs to be seen. It is a brave space, all kind of emotions may come up and it is not all celebration or ecstatic. So all is welcome, also resistance! That is also information from your system :)
For us, these dances can be very meaningful and also super silly. We invite you to be with or move through what comes up for you. We know from our own experience, that if we let go of expectations or ideas and surrender, the journey takes us. And also that this is not easy and not always possible.
It is a direct mirror for ourselves aaaaaand it is also super fun! To be reminded of this humbling experience of being human. Lots of happy hormones can be released and it can get ecstatic indeed. We love to dance and we are happy we can do it with you!
Why 'young'?
We find that there is a special energy when many young people come together. Our intention is not to exclude anyone, but to intentionally create a space where younger people can connect, express themselves, and share this unique atmosphere.
It is important to us to create this alternative to the mainstream night life scene, make it accessible for younger people and spread the love!
We are young people, collaborating with young people for young people. Supporting each other with our resources <3
