Curious about Contact Improvisation, but not sure yet if it’s for you? This try-out class is an easy way to experience it before our new 6-week Beginners Course starts.

You’ll get a first introduction to some of the basic principles of Contact Improvisation and experience how we work in the course. No previous dance or CI experience is needed.

Contact Improvisation is a playful dance form in which you move and improvise together with others. Through weight, balance, touch and shared movement, you discover new ways of moving, communicating and responding to another body.

The 6-week Beginners Course that follows is designed to give you a solid foundation in CI. Each class builds on the previous one, gradually giving you more skills, awareness and confidence to explore Contact Improvisation and join open classes and jams.

Another Kind Of Blue is known for beautiful choreography combined with cutting-edge technology. Internationally acclaimed, we create performances featuring drones, projections and, currently, a VR experience.

We believe dance is about more than perfection and technique. That's why we embrace Contact Improvisation, where spontaneity, curiosity and direct interaction are at the heart of the practice. We encourage people to let go of control, trust their instincts and each other, and discover new, unexpected ways of moving.
