We are very happy to announce that our 2025-2026 New Year's Retreat is now open for registration. Join us in creating a nourishing experience to start 2026 with a sense of community, a fresh perspective and renewed energy!

In this 3-day festive mindfulness retreat we will take you on a beautiful journey into yourself, through various mindful practices. We will meditate, move, share, sing and dance together. It will be a gentle slowdown, to relax and let go of what doesn't serve us any longer. And it will be a nourishment and celebration for all there is to come, of this human experience, of life.

♡ WAKE UP NEDERLAND
This retreat is being organised by Wake Up Nederland, a community of young people (18-39) that enjoys practicing the living art of Mindfulness. We have our roots in the Plum Village tradition that was founded by zen-monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. The energy is open, gentle, and playful.

♡ LANGUAGE
Most plenary sessions will be offered in English, to foster inclusiveness. After all we are part of the international Wake Up community! Additionally, we offer both English and Dutch-spoken sharing groups. So there is plenty of opportunity to speak Dutch!

♡ LOCATION
We are privileged to be able to use the beautiful Cordium in Nijmegen as our safe space for this event. The Cordium also allows for dormitories as sleeping arrangements. We'll have separate dormitories for men and women (and if requested, for people that identify otherwise). Mattresses will be available, though we kindly ask you to bring your own sheets, pillows and blanket / sleeping bag.
The Cordium (De Ruyterstraat 65, Nijmegen) is easily reached by public transport. It's a 10 minute walk from Nijmegen central station. Coming by car is possible but keep in mind that there is only paid parking.

♡ POTLUCK
Please note that we always start this retreat with an abundant potluck meal. Therefore we request you to bring something (vegetarian/vegan) to share with us on this occasion. There will be two cooks to prepare delicious organic and vegetarian/vegan food for the rest of the stay. For specific dietary wishes please send us an email.

♡ CO-CREATION
We are a non-profit community and that this event is organised by volunteers. This gives us the satisfaction of co-creation, and keeps it financially accessible for all individuals. It also means we carry this retreat as a group. If you would like to contribute in any way (eg. family group head, facilitate a workshop, make music, etc.) let us know!

♡ INCLUSIVENESS & RESPONSIBILTY
We aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome people with all physical and mental abilities. The atmosphere is very gentle and we also have spaces that remain silent all day if you wish to rest. When difficult or sensitive things come up, you will find support in the community.
At the same time we would like to emphasize that, even though retreats in our tradition have healing intentions, our organization does not offer therapy nor can we provide additional professional support for mental health instabilities. You are at all times responsible for your own well-being.

♡ TICKET INFORMATION
All tickets have a mattress included. There are a few tickets for a reduced price(€11 discount). If that's still too costly, we offer 4 budget tickets with (50 euros discount). For those, please use the discount/ korting code NYE2025. Please only use it, if you really need it!

We would like to mention that this retreat is specifically for people between 18 and 39 years of age.


♡ CANCELLATION POLICY, REFUND & WAITINGLIST
If you want to cancel your ticket, please email retraitewkup@gmail.com. We will try to find a replacement for you, so that you can get a full refund (Hipsy servicecosts not included).
In the unlikely event that we can’t find a replacement, the following refund policy applies

- Before December 1st: 75% refund
- Between 1st and 15th of December: 50% refund
- After December 15th: no refund possible
