Over dit evenement
Thai yoga massage is a deep healing practice, meditation in motion, and sacred dance.
Since ancient times, Thai massage was considered to be a spiritual practice, closely connected with the teachings of Buddha. It is based on the concept of energy (sen) lines, rooted mainly in yoga philosophy and Chinese medicine, learning the principles of presence, attention, and intention.
And most importantly: sharing METTA - loving kindness and compassion. All in a meditative state.
Thai yoga massage is much more than just a massage.
It introduces dynamic rocking techniques, full body stretches, deep pressure along energy lines, respects the body rather than going against it, encourages general relaxation and ease, helping the body activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest state).
Thai massage is practiced on the floor (futon), with clothes and no oil.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We will explore the foundations of Thai yoga massage as quality of touch, states of mind, how to position our body, and basic techniques of palming the front of the body, hips opening, bringing the receiver to a side position, and working on the arms. Finishing with a prone position and short head massage. The ultimate goal of our learning will be to bring the receiver into a deeply relaxed state, just like in Savasana.

ABOUT NICA
Nica has a master's degree in psychology, a decade of experience teaching yoga, and has been practicing Thai yoga massage for more than 6 years, inspired by authentic practices from the tribe in Lahu village, Thailand. She studied and gave treatments in several countries around Europe and Asia. Sharing holistic transformative bodywork is her biggest passion: "I see the body as a mirror to our inner world, sharing with us what's going on... The body already knows what the mind tries to figure out. Besides deep relaxation and sometimes emotional release, receivers often feel seen, held, and safe; which I find the main component of deep inner healing.'
~ FEEL HELD, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO HOLD ANYTHING, FOR A MOMENT ~
