Always wanted to dance? Try out floorwork, partnerwork or improvisation? Then it is your chance to get a taste!

During these movement sessions I will focus on the functionality of the body, using different contemporary dance techniques to develop a general understanding of the body. Techniques we will focus on are floorwork, release technique and countertechnique.

The tools that I will touch upon are; how to use the floor, moving in and out of the floor softly, using spirals and momentum in your movement, how to release the body and how to build up strength to carry your weight and the weight of others. We will research these tools both in improvised and set movement, so we widen our understanding of movement in different dimensions. My aim is to focus both on solo movement and on partnerwork. So we will research these tools in our own body, though set movement and with a partner through physical touch and weight sharing.

These sessions are for EveryBody that wants to explore movement! No previous experience is needed, this is an open level class. But also if you already dance a lot and want to work on your partnering skills, or if you are used to (contact)improvisation and want to work on solo technique, this is the class for you.

You can join one session or choose to join all of them. If you want the whole block (3 times), there is a combined price of 45 euro's. If you want to join that, please email me instead of buying a ticket.
