A musical journey towards the stillness at the heart of our being.
A meditative musical experience that finds inspiration in the many ways people from all over the world have approached music as a doorway to transcendence.
A musical language inspired by Eastern and Indian music, South American Shamanism, Jazz and some echoes of Bach, translated to instruments like the Ney, Clarinet, Oud, Tar, Kamanche, Harmonium, Voice and Guitar.

WORKSHOP OVERTONE SINGING AND NADA YOGA FROM 15H TO 18H (limited to 20 ppl, walk-in from 14h45) :
Nada Yoga, or the Yoga of Sound, is an ancient practice from India where music and sound are consciously applied as a means to harmonize our body, mind and heart. Whereas Hatha Yoga teaches us through Asanas (body postures) how to harmonize the more dense and physical aspects of our being, the Yoga of Sound addresses the subtler aspects of our being and helps to keep them balanced.
Overtone singing is an ancient singing technique in which a single note is held and the overtones of that note are simultaneously played, so that two frequencies can be heard simultaneously. This technique is traditionally used in Mongolia and Tibet and can be learned by anyone.
Through the exploration of Overtones and exercises to open our voice, we learn more about the ways sound and music can be used as a tool for healing, meditation and a way to re-align with our innermost being.
Everyone with a love for music is welcome, no experience with singing or playing music is necessary.
ABOUT ZEGER GABRIEL :
With a background in jazz and improvised music, Zeger traveled the world to immerse himself in the sacred music of different cultures, where music is an integral part of a spiritual practice. With the help of instruments such as the Ney, the Persian Kamanche, clarinet, voice and harmonium, the listener is invited to silence. Music becomes a form of meditation, where the music makes its way through inner landscapes with the intention of bringing musicians and listeners closer to themselves and each other. In addition to his work as a musician and producer, Zeger also offers workshops, where music and sound are explored as a meditative path of healing and spiritual connection, for which we are also lucky to host that day in Oosterwold!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION :
- Both workshop & concert will be in the beautiful space of Yoga Centrum Oosterwold - Ban Zhaoweg 10, 1349 LN Almere (free parking).
- If you join the concert, you can choose to have a delicious cup of ceremonial cacao from Râ cacao, crafted from organic beans in Almere (find details in organizer page). It will be served right before the concert for you to enjoy and deepen your journey into the heart! For preparation reasons, please reserve the corresponding ticket incl. cacao.
- Come with comfortable clothes so you can be nice and cosy :)
