I find it beautiful and positive to see that men's circles are being organized. I see how men are influenced by the stereotypes that society still imposes on them. The expectation for men to be strong is noticeable.

What strikes me is that women host women's circles and men host men's circles. I see so much potential in bringing men and women together. Why can't women host men's circles and vice versa?

Why do I think the strength lies here? Because we can learn from each other and need each other to create something beautiful together. The combination of masculine and feminine energy is a formula for success. We can experience sharing our thoughts, emotions, and feelings in a safe space with the opposite gender. It invites connection and self-healing. It initiates a ripple effect.

I want to create a safe space where men can be and share. Where genuine listening will occur. And where you can experience being vulnerable with also women.

I would like to organize an evening where laughter, tears, and connection are welcome. To truly allow men to feel and reconnect with their emotions, and to be able to articulate where these feelings come from. The power lies in sharing stories. Acknowledgment, truly hearing each other, and finding support together.

For those interested, the circle can conclude with a dip in the ice-cold IJ water.
