Over dit evenement

Greetings, brothers & sisters.

Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for continuing to walk with us.

We are grateful to finally open the doors again for our next Traditional Filipino Hilot Healing Massage — Immersion & Workshop, taking place on November 13–14, 2026, in The Hague, The Netherlands.

This will be an intimate gathering, limited to only 6 participants.

We intentionally keep the group small so that the sharing of knowledge, practice, and experience can be more personal, profound, and meaningful. It also allows us to give proper attention to each participant throughout the immersion.

Time: 10:00–17:00
Where: The Hague, The Netherlands

What is Hilot?

Hilot is a traditional Filipino healing art rooted in the ancient relationship between the human being, nature, community, and the spiritual world.

For generations, Hilot has been received, practiced, preserved, and developed by Filipino healers from tribal ethnic groups, families, Parabulong,Babaylan,Mumbaki, Katalonan and more cultural traditions throughout the Philippines.

There is not only one expression of Hilot.

The Philippines is home to many Indigenous peoples, communities, cultures, and healing traditions. Each healer and lineage may carry their own understanding, methods, rituals, language, symbolism, and way of expressing the art.

Yet beneath these differences is a shared recognition of the importance of balance, harmony, relationship, touch, care, nature, and the unseen dimensions of life.

In this immersion, we explore Hilot not simply as a massage technique, but as a way of approaching the body, energy, spirit, and our relationship with the world around us.

🌿 Who is this immersion for?

This gathering is for those who feel called to deepen their understanding of healing arts and to explore how their own abilities may be placed in service to others.

It is also for those who wish to:

• deepen their knowledge of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing traditions
• reconnect with their Filipino roots and ancestral heritage
• explore Filipino animistic/shamanic traditions and Indigenous spirituality
• learn more about Hilot, Parabulong, and Babaylan traditions
• develop a deeper relationship with touch, awareness, energy, ritual, and healing practice

You do not need to come with everything already understood.

Come with curiosity.

Come with respect.

Come with an open heart and a willingness to experience.

🌿 What will we explore?

During these two days, we will explore:

• The history and traditional foundations of Hilot
• Filipino animistic/shamanic culture and Indigenous perspectives
• The role of the Parabulong and Babaylan
• Hilot philosophy and principles of balance and natural law
• Awareness and familiarisation of energy fields
• Basic self-cleansing practices
• Healing, blessing, and protection rituals ( 21 days devotional process )
• Traditional approaches to touch and energetic work ( 6 basic Hilot strokes )
• The relationship between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of being

We will approach these teachings through both direct experience and reflection, allowing the knowledge to be felt and understood rather than simply memorised.

🌿 What to expect

This is not intended to be a conventional classroom training.

During the immersion, we will create space to experience the teachings through practice, observation, conversation, and personal exploration.

We will enter into the world of Hilot through the perspectives and practices carried within the Parabulong and Babaylan traditions, while also creating space for contemporary understanding and reflection.

There may be things that feel mysterious.

There may be things that challenge what we normally understand.

And there may also be very simple things—touch, presence, breath, awareness, silence—that remind us that healing can begin with how we relate to ourselves and to another human being.

The intention is to make these two days a natural, calm, joyful, and meaningful inner and outer journey through Hilot.

🌿 What to bring

Please bring:

• A blue and a red pen
• A notebook
• An open mind and open heart
• A well-rested body and mind
• Your curiosity and willingness to learn

And most importantly, bring yourself.

🌿 Your host

Hilario Robis is a Filipino Babaylan and practitioner dedicated to caring for and continuing the shamanic healing traditions of his family, including the Parabulong and Babaylan lineage.

From the age of 12, he has been learning, practicing, studying, and serving within these traditions.

Today, with 26 years of practice, study, and service, he continues to share these teachings with those who feel genuinely called to learn.

This sharing is not only about passing on techniques.

It is about honouring a tradition, remembering where we come from, and creating a space where ancient knowledge can be approached with respect, humility, presence, and an open heart.

🌿 A small circle, a deep immersion

Because this gathering is limited to 6 participants, places are intentionally very limited.

If you feel a genuine calling to join us, or if something in these words speaks to you, you are warmly invited to reach out.
