RISING MOON SETTING SUN

Welcome to our full moon ritual.
Only when moon is full, it rises opposite the setting sun.
And we -on the earth- are inbetween and see at our one side the moon rise and at our other side the sun set.

It is always a surprise if we see moon.
Sky can be clouded and moon is hidden.
Sky can be dusty and we see moon hazy.
Sky can be as well open and clouded and we see moon appear and disappear.
Sky can be open and we see moon rise all the way, large, pinkish or orange or yellow and magical.

All these appearances of moon belong to our moon ritual.
We are just there.
Every moon.
In all weather.

Witnessing with each other the flow of time in the landscape.
Enjoying the dance of sun, moon, twilight, us, through the year, in all weather.

When the moon is full, the gravitational pull is the strongest and it influences everything that contains water: seas, oceans, plants, animals, humans. Monthly full moon gatherings let us connect with the energy and the rhythm of nature we are a part of. There is only one rule no words but laughter, tears, and other sounds are welcome. Only one person among us, Pien Vrijhof, uses words to guide meditation during the journey. During the Full Moon Ritual, we move with each other and space, do voicing and get energised by nature.

TIMING of 28 June 2026
20:05 — Meeting at Overveen station (15 min from Amsterdam Centraal).
20:00 - 20:30 Walking to the dunes (Or bike/car to Parnassia)
20:30-22:30 — Into movement, tuning in with atmosphere, landscape, light, and each other.
Moonrise 21:39 sunset 22:04
22:30- 22.45— Drinking tea, moon still rising.
22:45 — 23:30 Leisurely walking back to Overveen station, moon still rising.
23:30 Train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk

Practical:
1. Wear comfortable clothes, take rain protection & extra layer for the evening.
2. Eat well before the event.
3. Ticket includes tea and healthy snack
