Advanced Tantra Session

A Tantric practice session for seasoned practitioners


INTRODUCTION

As an experienced Tantric practitioner you know by heart how liberating it is to live your truth – to be able to express yourself in the full, sharing your desires, exploring your shadows and cultivating your awareness. To be received in a safe and open space where the whole of you is truly welcome and where you can be fully present in the company of other people who are longing for freedom as much as you do.

Many of our participants wonder why it is that they spent so little time on living in that way. “Why do I forget?” “Why do I let myself be overrun by demands and restrictions again?”

You can’t blame yourself, for you are so conditioned to control your life in a certain way; it needs a shipload of courage and effort to decondition your behavior and to open up to the unfolding of life. You need to nourish yourself and be reminded of your natural state over and over again. This doesn’t mean you have to stop doing what you do in life, but with regular practice you will be able to relate to your thoughts, ideas, actions and feelings in a different way.

Over time joy, love, creativity and freedom will naturally shine forth, whatever happens.


WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

Most importantly we will be together. We will experience the safe and powerful foundation of the group. We’ll have a sense of belonging.

We will explore themes like intimacy, fear, sexuality, shame, anger, desire, joy, senses, sadness….by using breath, movement, tantric structures, writing, inquiry, touch, visualisation and meditation as powerful tools. Throughout every session we cultivate our awareness; resting in the space of awareness lies at the heart of everything that we will do in these sessions.


FOR WHOM?

The advanced practice sessions are open for men and women (regardless of sexual orientation), singles and (occasional) couples, minimum age 20 yrs.

You’re most welcome if you long to be whole, to be full and if you’re willing to courageously dive into all the misaligned concepts and ideas that keep you from being real. If you want to be intimate with all aspects of you and willing to open for intimacy with other human beings.

A prerequisite for the practice session is a foundational Tantra course, e.g. our Level One Tantra Training or a likewise program you attended somewhere else. If you’re in doubt whether the session is suitable for you at this moment, please get in touch with Mirjam.

The practice session will be offered in Dutch or English (depending on the group).


YOUR TEACHER - Mirjam Maëla

Mirjam holds a master in Psychology and is trained as a coach specialized in working with language of the body.

For 20+ years now she has studied and practiced Dzogchen (Tibetan Buddhism) mainly at Rigpa and with Jan Geurtz. Nowadays her main interest lies in Śaiva Tantra, studying and practicing these profound teachings with Hareesh Christopher Wallis and Daniel Odier.

The beautiful and spacious venue De Meditatietuin, Amstelpark 6 in Amsterdam.

Please come in time so you can settle yourself (it can take a while to find the venue, so you might want to schedule some extra time).

Free parking on Sunday.
