For the wild ones, the hippie ravers, and the beat seekers. This is not your average Ecstatic Dance. We mix the beauty of Ecstatic Dance with a lot more techno, tribal beats, drum & base, psytrance and trance frequencies. This evening is a sanctuary for self-expression and designed to completely lose your mind in the music.

No substances and no dance experience needed: Just your energy and presence.

IMPORTANT: We’ll be raving in a big indoor hall and only the chill area will be heated. It can feel a bit cool at the start, so bringing some warm socks and a few cozy layers for the dance floor is a great idea. Once the rave is in full swing you’ll probably warm up and can peel the layers off again, and they’ll also come in handy at the end of the rave when things wind down again.

Practical information:

- Please bring your own cup/bottle for the water and tea we provide.
- Other (alcohol-free) drinks are available at the bar.
- You are just as welcome to come on your own as to come with friends!

Even though you can move as freely as you want, there are some guidelines everyone must follow:
- We dance barefoot (or on socks).
- No talking on the dancefloor: Making sounds is allowed!
- No alcohol or other substances: We will provide you with as much water and tea as you need.
- No electronic devices: You can store all your devices safely in the dressing room.

Structure:
- Entry from 18:30 until 19:30 - Take this moment to land in the space (talking is still allowed here), drink some cacao (we will not provide a cacao ceremony, but we do provide cacao based on donation) and chill before the opening ceremony starts. DOORS CLOSE 19:30! Joining later is not possible.
- Silent space & opening ceremony with Bart & Pia from 19.30 to 19.50
- RAVING with DJ YARL from 19.50 to 21.50
- Live music with Vera from 21.50 to 22.00
- Closing circle from 22.00 to 22.05
- Chill space from 22.05 to 23.00

The Ecstatic Rave will be hosted once every 2 months, keep an eye on our Hipsy page!

Location:
ATTENTION! The Ecstatic Rave will be hosted at Jonkvrouw Sanderijndreef 35, this is not the usual Play location you might be used to. From Utrecht Centraal you can take multiple buses that stop in front of the location.

Parking:
If you come with car, you can park your car for free at Shoppingcenter Overvecht, from there it is a 3 minute walk.

DJ YARL, aka Jarl F. Hector, brings dance floors into a world of sound that’s as transformative as it is captivating. With roots as a guitarist and singer in an indie band that toured across the Netherlands and experience as a music director for trailers and films, his sets reflect a broad, eclectic taste. From classical scores and lush downtempo to tribal IDM, soulful techno, GQOM, breakbeats, and mind-bending house, his selection spans genres and cultures, creating a rich and immersive journey.With a unique genre-blending approach, DJ YARL bridges the spiritual with the mainstream, guiding people to reach ecstasy on the dance floor without any substances. Expect an experience that uplifts the spirit and moves the body in pure bliss.
