Over dit evenement
This is a storytelling women’s circle focused on the journey of motherhood, grounded in breathwork and shared myth. It’s a short pilot program beginning with a kick-off gathering, followed by three sessions—each centered around a classic myth or folk tale drawn from Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
The intention is to create a small, intimate community of mothers—women seeking space to (re)connect with themselves and with others walking the same path. Through myth, folk tales, and the personal stories that naturally surface, we’ll explore the deeper layers of our own experience.
Stories will act as guides—offering archetypes and symbolism that illuminate our inner worlds. They invite us to reframe, reimagine, and re-signify what we carry, making space for both personal insight and collective growth.
Women have always shared stories with each other. It’s how wisdom has moved through generations—not through direct advice or judgment, but through the understanding that every specific story holds a universal thread. This circle is a return to that way of knowing.
We are gathering not to raise a child, but to raise mothers—strong, kind, whole, and rooted—in the company of one another. Breathwork will be woven into each session to help us return to our bodies and our present experience, allowing us to meet the stories not only with our minds, but with our emotional selves and inner knowing.
MATERIALS
Participants will receive the stories to be discussed in the journey at the kick-off meeting - there is no need to buy the book.
INSTRUCTORS
On the year that her father suddenly passed away, Isa Alves got pregnant of her first child - her biggest dream coming true during her first personal encounter with grief. That initial shift taught her there is magic behind life's duality, and transformed her life - when something is born, what else must be left behind? She left her academic career behind and re-discovered her life passion: stories. Now, through women's circles and storytelling workshops, Isa is on a mission to create spaces where stories become tools for healing, connection, and growth. She wants to empower participants to explore their identities and foster deeper connections - within themselves and their communities.
During the birth of her first child, Sanne Ruiter had a profound experience of primal confidence in herself and her body. A feeling she had never known before, after years of living with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), which left her feeling insecure, disconnected, and stuck in her head. Through breathwork, she found her way back to that inner strength. Now, as a breathwork coach, Sanne helps women reconnect with themselves, moving from overthinking and self-doubt to calm, confidence, and authenticity.
