Over dit evenement
Women transforming into tree is a common cross-cultural myth.
In the explanations this is often told as a punishment from the gods, but is it? In a more feminist approach these stories could be explained as a way to deal with grief: not being able to stay the same after loss, returning back to the cycle, restoring a lost balance. A withdrawal from the patriarchal system. The eternity of tree - outside of human control.
Female body losses
In this ritual we work around the cycle of life and death in the female body, this includes experiences on:
Miscarriage;
Still born souls;
Abortion;
Not having a child for whatever reason;
by imagination, touch, dance, slowness, sharing & expressing our stories.
Ritual repatterns trauma
The female body has to deal very close with the cycle of life and death in her own body.
After experiences with death your perspective on live might be changed.
Can we use the structures of the stories to deal with our grief? Can we collectively hold each other, all in our unique tragedies?
This ritual is for you when:
grief is lingering in your body
you wish to spent time with your story on loss
you feel things around your experience are still overwhelming
you want to meet like minded souls with the same kind of experience
you want to grief in a collective way (maybe even without words)
you are ready for some transformation
Mythical bodywork
All we are going to do is create space around loss in general and your loss. We use the metaphor and the human encyclopedia of myth on how to change shape after loss.
Everyone can take a different angle, we don’t have to be at the same level, or whatever that might mean.
To embody your story is transformative. The tools for that are available in this ritual.
Are you ready to explore a new way to grief?
