Rafael's dance journey began in 2009, and over the years, he has immersed himself in various styles - Samba, Bolero, Zouk, West Coast Swing, Bachata, Tango and Salsa - all to refine his technique and bring even more depth to his true passion: Forró!
He has led numerous workshops and participated in forró festivals all across the globe.
Rafael built a reputation for bringing technical expertise and clarity to dance—introducing fresh techniques, seamless fluidity, creative figures, and movements that explore dynamism and sensory expression. He also became known for his strong musicality and improvisation skills. His classes are always lively and fun, but more importantly, they carry a deeper purpose. For him, dance isn’t just entertainment—it’s something bigger, something powerful. It heals, uplifts, and transforms lives (a true form of therapy).

Forró is a vibrant and joyful partner dance originating from the northeastern region of Brazil. It’s danced to the rhythmic beats of forró music, which blends accordion, zabumba, and triangle to create a captivating and energetic sound. The dance itself is all about connection, with close partner moves that make it easy to learn and incredibly fun to dance. Forró is sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart!
