Ecstatic Dance | Benefit event for Spain | DJ Yarl | Live Handpan

ON SUNDAY DECEMBER 1ST
The Movement Journey & Ecstatic Nomads are transforming STUDIO / ZOED Wilhelminapark in Haarlem into a magical and intimate Ecstatic Dance temple. Together we join forces and move for Spain.

BENEFIT EVENT
The floods caused by DANA in multiple regions of Spain have had a devastating impact on the lives of many. People have lost their homes, their cars, and in some cases, even family members.

Over the past few days, the storm has calmed, and so did the floods, but the recovery has only just begun.

Therefore, we are raising money to be donated to the local Spanish Red Cross.

PERSONAL MOTIVATION
My name is Lois, and I feel compelled to support the people of Spain as they recover from DANA. I feel particularly motivated to help people in Spain, because I have been traveling through the country over the past month. I had the chance to experience the beauty of the country and participate in a yoga teacher training.

The location manager of the yoga teacher training, Vicky, lives in Valencia. It has been—and continues to be—a difficult time for her and her loved ones. While managing the training, she was desperately trying to reach her family and friends, offering help wherever she could. Now, she is actively contributing to the region’s recovery and doing everything she can to help.

Because of this, I felt a strong urge to join forces and organize a benefit event in my hometown to raise money for the recovery of the affected Spanish regions. All the money raised on this event will be donated to the Spanish Red Cross.

ECSTATIC DANCE
Together we create a safe space by following the guidelines of Ecstatic Dance:
- we are silent on the dancefloor & let our body do the talking
- we take off our shoes & dance bare feet
- we move with an open and positive mindset & don't judge / no dancing experience is needed either
- we are free from alcohol, drugs and phones & get high on our own supply

These guidelines allow us to connect with ourselves, the music and each other. Be inspired by the magic of free movement. If you allow yourself to move freely, the world around you will move as well. Be amazed, be open and be vulnerable.
